Look great, but not stout

Reviewed By Bill T (Brandon, FL) Reviewed for a 2011 Honda Ridgeline —11/14/2013 6:25 PM

I put these on my 2011 Honda Ridgeline for my wife, who has a bad hip. They bolted easily into the pre-threaded holes in the floor pan of my truck, but the three steel supports leave them feeling slightly springy when my 140 pound wife or my 190 pound frame steps on them. The Honda steps fasten not just to these threaded holes, but also further back to the truck frame, thus providing a stronger anchor. They are nice looking, but not extremely strong due to the attachment point geometry.

good directions and ease of installation

Reviewed By john s (Hillsdale, NJ) Reviewed for a 2011 Honda Ridgeline —2/29/2012 8:28 PM

I had read previous reviews before purchasing these nerf bars. Although, many customers stated they were good the directions were lacking. I down loaded directions from another site. When my shipment arrived I was please to see that the items were labeled, drivers, passenger side and the directions were easily understood. There was also real photos of specified areas and how to perform the install. Great job ! They were installed within an hour.

Awesome looking bars!

Like others have said. Hardware isn't the best. I put mine on an 09 and all of the holes were rusted so the first bolt twisted off. Highly reccomend buying a tap to rethread the holes. After that it is a cake job. Go on easy and look great. Glad I got this style.
