Needed some "grinding" to get the mounting bolts to fit

Reviewed By Richard V (Belmont, CA) Reviewed for a 1999 Toyota 4Runner —9/22/2014 8:10 PM

I have 1999 Toyota 4Runner. The holes in the frame where the mounting bolts are to be inserted had some rounded corners. That was just enough that none of the parts inserted. I went to a friends house where we ground the corners down (and a bit of a welded bolt on one too) - then they slipped in fine. After that - was easy. But without that grinding wheel I would have been challenged to get the same amount ground off that was needed.

CARR Super hoop steps

Reviewed By gordon h (VANCOUVER, WA) Reviewed for a 2004 Toyota Tundra —12/3/2015 3:44 AM

The steps are beautiful, sturdy and just what I expected from CARR. Installation was easier after I got new drill bits. AutoAnything was real efficient, received the item quick and in good shape. Im now looking for a cold air filter and this company has the best prices.

Great product for old knees

Reviewed By Tom C (SPIRIT LAKE, ID) Reviewed for a 2015 Dodge Ram —5/14/2016 7:31 AM

Installed this step on a 2015 Ram 4WD Sport last week to assist me in entering and egressing the rather high bed of the truck. For that, it works well. Pros: Very sturdy and well built Easy to use Cons: When deployed, step is not level, it tilts up at about a 15 degree angle A little fussy to stow and secure with the supplied bungee. Is rather large and bulky Wish it had a quick release mount to allow its removal when unneeded
