I am well pleased with the steps. I had these installed on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma, at the insistance of my wife, and also installed the regular step for the rear doors. After reading the installation instructions I decided that it was more than I wanted to attempt. Wise decision. I had a local garage do the installation since they could put the truck on an elevated rack. Overall I am well pleased with the looks, integrity and usefulness of these steps.

It is easier to get into the bed with the step, but a bit hard to open and close for a woman. Men don't seem to have any issue though. You wouldn't want it to flop down obviously. Bought 2 for either side. On a 6' bed your reach is still limited, but better with the step than without.
