"All stainless and I mean all including the washers and bolts and brackets I think this is very important as I have had a more expensive set rust into the body of my old truck what a great deal" —Anthony C from Amelia, OH bought a Steelcraft 4" Premium Oval Nerf Bars for a 2007 Toyota Tundra, CrewMax.
"The Westin Platinum Oval Step Bars are a great buy if you're looking for inexpensive step bars that give just a little more stepping area. The added width of these bars (about an inch) does help with providing a secure step for easy access to the cab. I ordered the black bars to go with the Blazing Red paint color of the truck which already has some black trim.
Shipping was quite prompt and the bars arrived well-packed and undamaged. The brackets are clearly embossed with markings PF, PC, PR, DF, DC, and DR which made it easy to get the brackets in the right place. After bolting the brackets in place (but not tight!), it was a snap to bolt the bars to the brackets, and then snug everything down. It took about an hour to do the job.
The bars seem quite sturdy and I don't make any sounds when you step on them. Having purchased black powder coated bars in the past, I know that in our northeast climate with salted roads, the bars will be good for about 6 years or so which is OK with me....if I'm not replacing the truck by then, I'll just get another set of bars!
So...just consider me a satisfied customer!" —Stephen B from Bemus Point, NY bought a Westin 4" Platinum Oval Step Bars for a 2007 Toyota Tundra, Double cab, 6' 6" short bed.
