Aries Big Step Nerf Bars Customer Reviews
21 Customer Reviews
When they first landed on the moon, the astronauts declared it a small step for man, and a giant leap for mankind. Likewise, when Aries decided to make the largest 4” round nerf bar known to man, they declared it the Aries Big Step Nerf Bars.
Crafted from huge 4” diameter steel tubing, these are some of the biggest side bars around, and the largest in the Aries stable. The elevated step pads deliver an even bigger boost, and feature a non–skid top for sure traction. And for style, Aries adds a custom stainless steel insignia pad.
Thanks to vehicle–specific mounting brackets, the Aries Big Step Side Bars boast a perfect fit. Plus, the easy installation means no drilling or cutting is required. That way, you’re stepping up to the big time—in no time! What’s more, Aries backs your Big Step Nerf Bars with a limited Lifetime Warranty.

Purchased the Textured Black nerf bars for my Ram 1500 Crew Cab. Had some issues with the bars from the factory but AutoAnything's customer service rep, Amanda, took care of the problem right away. Great Customer Service! As for the bars, they went on quick in about an hours time. Brackets mounted to the factory holes. I found a video on youtube for the same bars that I watched prior to installing, so things went on without a hitch. These tubes are BIG, FAT, and look GREAT on my Big Horn.

These were very easy to install on the truck. They are very sturdy and are somewhat adjustable as to how high or low you want them to sit from the cab itself. I assume this is in case you have a lift kit. My wife loves them as she can now get in and out of the truck very easy. They look nice, were easy to install, and appear heavy duty for the price.

These bars are a little confusing to install but once you get them figured out they go on fairly easy. The directions that come with them could be more accurate but overall the looks of these look great on my 09 black silverado. Very pleased and satisfied. I would highly recommend.

The only thing I could complain about would be that they mount to the body and not the frame. I wish the ad had been clearer on that part. Swift, immediate service from AA. Thanks

Nerf bars arrived on time and took about 1 hour to install by myself. Looks and feels like a quality product. The bars look huge and intimidating. People comment on them all the time. I would highly recommend these.

My truck is black so they look great!! The four inch look much "meaner" than the three. Easy to install. Only problem, exsting hole for bracket, per instructions, was not present. This may be a diference between 3/4 and 1/2 tons. Mounted without brackets and they barley move with all my weight on them, 230lbs. Would definitly recommend.

Hi, The 4-door version is currently out of stock (we don't display out of stock products). We should have it ready to ship again in a few weeks most likely.

Will this need bar fit my Ram 1500 crew cab?
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 04, 2013 9:26 AM
Hi, The 2500/3500 trucks have a completely different chassis so unfortunately, these bars won't fit your 1500. We may offer these bars for the 1500 in the near future though. You can sign up for our email list and we can notify you when they come out.

Do these run from tire to tire? Thus allowing for extra height into the toolbox from the side near the rear tire.??
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 17, 2013 7:50 AM
Hi, The Aries bars won't run fully to the rear tire. I believe what you are looking for is a "wheel to wheel" nerf bar. http://www.autoanything.com/shop?searchTerm=wheel+to+wheel
