These are everything they were advertised to be.... Very happy with the bars. My install went off without a problem. They look and function great. I would recommend these to anyone I put these on my 2012 Chevy Silverado Quad Cab 1500 4x4.

The only minus to the Aries Nerf Bars is that the front step pads need to be 4" longer towards the rear. I could not find the information on the Aries Nerf Bars to register them online, ser# ect. Holes in the plastic are to large. They were easy to install and look excellent.

Instructions were kind of easy to understand but if your a handyman with tools it's easy to figure out. Looks great on the truck everything fitted pretty good. I like the appearance it adds to the truck. They don't stick out far which is good.

The Nerf Bars I purchased were easy to install and the instructions were very easy to follow. I installed them in less than 30 minutes with no problems. They really dress up the sides of Nitro and make it look a lot more sporty. I'll look for them to install on my other SUV's in the future.

I purchased a pair of Aries Nerf Bars April 2013. 5" round, all black. Installation went smooth as the bolts match perfectly with the factory pre-drilled holes. Only glich was the instructions said 1/2" bolts were included and 3/4" hex bolt came in the box. I think 1/2" would have made a simplier and easier fit. For the price and quality it's a good buy.

Not happy with the labeling ,they were done incorrectly, than I didn't get an apology from customer service. I've spent hours trying to figure them out, and the directions have failed to direct me.

Was wondering how much weight the bars can support, due to them being attached to the body rather than the frame? I thought they all were supposed to be attached to the frame? Please help.
Answered by Nathan S. — May 03, 2013 2:34 PM
Hi, They can easily support the weight of most people stepping on them.

On the selection for truck styles, will "extended cab" also be long enough for a 4 door truck? I don't have "extended", that is about half a door, my truck has "full size" back doors. Thanks, Nicci
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 26, 2013 1:33 PM
Hi Nicci, You want to select one of the Crew Cab options.

What exactly does a limited warranty entail? How long would a limited warranty b covered and what does that cover?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 18, 2013 2:57 PM
Hi, Limited lifetime warranty will cover damage from manufacturing, like an imperfection of flaw that causes rusting or a part to break. If you go offroading and crush a bar on a rock, that won't be covered.

I need to replace the apparent nerf bars that came originally on my 98 Pathfinder LE due to rusting on the bottom. Your site doesn't indicate whether your product is compatible for my year. Thoughts?

For the Honda Pilot (2011), are there three brackets or two holding them to the vehicle? Is any drilling required? Are there rivet nuts required, as there are for the official Honda Side Bars? Are there any special tools required?
Answered by Nathan S. — Oct 16, 2012 4:15 PM
Hello, The bars are most likely going to include two brackets per side and will install in under an hour according to other customers who have purchased the same bars. Special tools are not required for installation.

Hey Louie, yes, these come complete with custom mounting hardware for your specific vehicle. They will line up with existing frame holes in your vehicle (most models), but if your vehicle has existing steps, running boards or nerf bars, they probably won't line up with the factory mounts.
