For trucks, you have a choice... 1. No running boards: Ok if you have long legs, can do the splits easily, and are Ok with exiting via a mini parachute jump. 2. Fixed running boards: Good if you like to awkwardly get in, occasionally slip off the short extension getting out, and don't mind getting hung up with reduced clearance while off roading. 3. Retractable running boards: Extends out to a wide step closer to the ground, making the transition in and out of your truck almost a joy!

These bolted right on!! My 2014 Ram 2500 already had the mounting locations prepped for the install. The hardest part was wiring but if you have a little patience and can follow directions it isn't that hard. These steps when deployed make it very ergonomical to step in and out of the truck. Even my 5 foot wife who has had 3 major arm surgeries can easily get in and out of the truck. The best part is that when you don't need them they disappear!!!
