The step bar is well made and it installed quickly. The location of the front step insert for entering is fine. But for exiting the truck it needs to be wider. The safe and natural foot placement when stepping down is a good 6 inches further down the step, towards the rear.

The bars look great and definitely have a sleeker appearance than any other step bar I've seen. The bars are extremely high quality. When purchasing, I was told the mounting hardware was also stainless steel, however, this is not the case. Some pieces of hardware are stainless while the brackets are heavily treated then powder coated. Still, very good quality. The instructions are all done by photo's but if you've looked under your Ram 1500 prior to trying to figure out the instructions, it will all be fairly easy to figure out. Once installed on my truck, they work well, look awesome and are exactly the right height for a step up. I would definitely recommend these bars for anyone looking for something a little different than everyone elses step bars.

these steps are mainly for appearance. the tubing used in the construction is smaller and thinner than other tube type steps, which was not what i was expecting. i weigh 215 lbs, and they flex a little when i step on them, especially the rear. the plus side to that is that they are really light. these steps, though, look really good on the truck. and the fit and finish appears top notch
