The label on the instruction sheet said that these bars are for a 2009 F-150. The instructions are a little confusing. To install them, I had to enlarge the front whole on the rocker panel by cutting a half inch half round hole (think Mickey Mouse ear) in the nine o'clock position on the driver's side and in the three o'clock position on the passenger side. It's a long span between the two attachment points so I hope it holds up. The two bar weight a total of 60 lbs. They look great.

The polished stainless finish is flawless. Like the rounded returns behind front wheel and rear door on the crew cab. Would not recommend a heavy person to stand with both feet on them as one heavy duty bolt at front and rear is what really hold the bar to the support brackets. They should be used as an assist to get in while grabbing the interior truck grab handle while stepping on the bar. Since they are stainless, I won't worry about peeling of the finish that could occur with chromed ones.

I had the Westin Platinum bars on my 2001 Chevy 2500HD for 13 years. Slight hazing over that period but still looked great. The only issue was the steel mounts rusted pretty bad. I took them off a couple of times, cleaned them up and painted them. I liked them so well I just bought them for my 2014 Chevy, but I coated them before installation. And use anti-seize on bolts or they will not come out after a few years.

The first set I received were damaged in shipment. Your customer service did an excellent job and set me a new set. Only negitive comment is that they should be installed with stainless steel hardware. Thank you
