I purchased this b/c I like the idea of the site glass. But the item falls short. There's really no easy way or good and safe place to mount with the amount of hose that is supplied in the kit. I'll have to make a custom bracket if I choose to use it and buy more hose. It's not worth it unless you are using it for a race car and professional look isn't important.

What I liked best about this Mishimoto oil catch can was the level sight tube and the larger size than most other catch cans. I was not impressed with just an empty can though. I inserted a 7/16" plastic tube to bring the incoming vapors down about half way into the can. I also put four 3M company copper metal cleaning pads inside to give the oil vapor a much better chance to condense inside of the catch can. After my modifications it would would be a very solid 5 not a 4 as I gave it.

There is no baffling or screening material what so ever in this can. Vapor merely goes in one hole, swirls around, and exits out the other hole. I removed the drain plug and loosely placed a ball of course steel wool inside to act as a baffle/screen/collector and separator. I also replaced the solid plug with a valve and hose for easier draining. Both of these modifications, in my humble opinion, should have been unnecessary as the can should have been so equipped during manufacture and assembly
