Range Active Fuel Management Disable Device Reviews

Great fix for the annoying AFM

Reviewed By James S (PAOLA, KS) Reviewed for a 2011 Chevy Silverado —8/17/2017 6:55 PM

I pull a 5300 lb travel trailer. Even in tow/haul mode the truck would lose power because of the AFM. I installed the Ranger AFM disable device the day after I received it and left for a camping trip (200 miles one way). There was a noticeable difference in power. No more 4-5000 rpm downshifts. Only a few times did it rev to 3500 rpm. I mostly drive with cruise control. I think that's the reason for the few 3500 RPM's.

Edge Evolution CS2 Programmer Reviews

Satisfied

Reviewed By Matthew B (MONTICELLO, IL) Reviewed for a 2015 Chevy Silverado —8/16/2017 5:52 PM

I wanted to clean up my shift points and get rid of the lag when hitting the gas. This thing achieved both those. 2 is what I like best. That's the towing tune. 3&4 are performance and I think they're just to jerky. 1 is just transmission tuning and works great. But 2 is the sweet spot! I also run E85 all the time. Gained 2 mpg also. The only mod I have installed is an Araid mit with drop in filter. Everything else is stock. Am very satisfied with the programmer and glad I got it.
