Description

Your engine has amazing amounts of power potential just waiting to be unleashed. And, the fastest and easiest route for turning that potential into raw horsepower and torque is by tapping into your vehicle's computer with the new Jet Performance Programmer.

You'll be able to modify your ride's air/fuel ratios, ignition, shift points, shift firmness, top speed limiter, and rev limiter specs. Or, leave the fine tuning in the hands of the pros and use the module-style Jet presets.

The Jet Performance Programmer also lets you access, read and clear diagnostic trouble codes. Plus, you can even use the Jet Performance Programmer to calibrate your speedometer. Settings for regular, mid-grade and high octane fuel, too!

The Jet Performance Programmer installs in minutes. Programming takes less than 20 seconds and your engine can be returned to its stock settings in about 5 minutes. Your Jet Performance Programmer is backed by a 1-year warranty.

I don't know that there is any difference in the performance. Very little if at all. As for fuel mileage, I am on my first full tank of gas since installation so I don't have mileage yet.

I was sceptic about buying a programmer for a 98 4-wheel drive Tahoe. I went ahead and purchased this unit and was suprised at the performance and overall options this easy to use programmer had to offer! I highly recommend this upgrade for any vehicle.. Charles.

I was really looking forward to a big jump in horsepower but to be honest I can hardly tell any difference. I guess corvettes are already optimally tuned from the factory. Its a good investment anyway though since I'll need it when I start adding modifications later.

I spent a good deal of time researching before I bought one for my 05 Avalanche with a 5.3. I have extensive mods to the engine already, towing cam, 1.8 rockers, milled the heads, A/M exhaust and intake. I was hoping to notice a difference with the programmer but noticed very little, this programmer still will not allow me to spin the tires. ( wont remove torque management ) I am overall disappointed in its performance. You can tell the difference in the shift firmness either.

Upon opening the package I was dissapointed in the appearance of the unit. It generally looked cheap. The programming however was really impressive. It took les than 10 minutes to add around 15 HP and 2 MPG to my 5.4L gas hog. I would recommend this product.

I am impressed with the ease to install and the notisable improvement in horsepower and shifting. I do a lot of mountain driving pulling a trailer and the improvement made that Triton 10 run and shift much better. Wish I had installed it earlier.

Hi, You most likely have an air leak in the intake or a vacuum leak from a disconnected/cracked hose or a bad gasket. The programmer doesn't have the ability to perform repairs and will only clear a check engine light once you've fixed the actual issue.

Hi, I think what they meant (in non-fancy and confusing terminology) is that you have a bad fuel pump, which would need to be replaced. This is a plastic pump assembly with an electric motor that sits submerged in the gas tank and is controlled by the "brain" of the car, the ECU. A tuner adds a performance program to the ECU in the car. This changes how fuel and spark are delivered in the engine to make the engine run more efficiently or to make more power. While programmers don't have the ability fix damaged parts or sensors, they often can read diagnostic trouble codes, so you have a basic idea of where to start to diagnose a problem with the car.

Jet Programmer use w/ Jet Modules

Would use of the Jet programmers eliminate any need to have one of their inline modules installed? Are the two compatible or would one negate the effects of the other? If it is possible to use both at once, would it even be worth it or would it be pointless?

You will see an increase in mileage as the programmer allows the engine to run more efficiently with a refined program. Any gains will depend on your driving style though.

DTC stands for Diagnostic Trouble Codes. When your vehicle has a problem and shows the check engine light, the onboard computer has a code for it. The programmer will show you the code so you can fix the problem, and then it’ll clear the code (saving you an expensive trip to the dealership). And, if the repair is beyond your scope of ability, at least you know what the problem is before you head to the mechanic.
