"When my friends told me about Super Chips, I wasn't convienced that it would be money well spent. But, with Auto Anything's Holiday Specials going on, I bought one. Installation and programing was very simple. When I back my 05 Mustang out of the garage and stepped down on the gas, I was shocked. It was like someone took the V6 out of my car and replaced it with a V8. I was impressed."

"I experienced one problem with the Microtuner that can be bothersome. It makes the throttle responce very touchy rendering my 1995 Powerstroke deisel undriveable in stop and go traffic in all tune modes. I contacted Superchips and was told that this is the nature of the program with hy vehicle. It seems to be ok for highway criusing,so if you expect to take a trip that puts you from highway to city driving be sure to carry your tuner so that you can change to stock for stop and go driving."

"I have noticed a great change in relation to the accelerator and the gear changing. My F250 runs the gears out longer the harder I hit the gas. I don't have access to a Dyno, so I don't know if there's a great gain in HP. I'm having a plow put on so I'm anxious to change the settings and see the difference in the settings. So far so good! I think the price is steap; only because I don't know if it added HP. It definitely feels faster. I haven't noticed any change in gas mileage. To me that's good. This Ford has been good on gas anyway."

"when i bought this item i was kind of leary about spending the money. but let me tell everybody that i am impressed, i come from old school performance and to think that it is this easy.i have not had a cahance to check my gas milage but so far it seems betterbut i canot tell how much yet."

"Wow, my v6 Mustang just turned into a v8. For the money, the best modification you can do for your car. It took all of 10 minutes for my mechanic to upgrade my car. I just have to be careful about spinning my wheels now."

"What a difference in performance. I installed the Superchip on my 2003 Excursion prior to going to Colorado, you would have never known that I was pulling a 20' trailer except for the 35 MPH crosswinds. The response on the long grades was outstanding. What a difference from previous years. I was so pleased that I orderd a unit for my 2005 F-350. Too early to tell about fuel economy, but the increase in power is remarkable. LM"

"Im very impressed on the improvements it gave my 2003 dakota rt. The only option that i did not have for my truck was, raising the shift points. But the 93 octane setting automatically changed my 2 and 3 shifts. Im really happy with the power and torque it gave me, and very happy how fast autoanything got it to my house. Thanks Autoanything"

"Strictly more power/performance was all I was after. The 87 mode was used first, thanks to my wife filling up just before I recieved my tuner. But with the 91 mode, I could notice only slight differences, with the superchip alone. After I installed my new exhaust system, the difference was more than noticable. I couldnt spin the tires off the line on a dry surface before, and now I can spin a little. Expecting a new ram air hood package any time now, after I install that...I will update my review. I am expecting more power, more power, more power!!! Get-R-Done!"

"Although the MAX MicroTuner did as advertised I am the owner of 3 Dodge vehicles that this product will work on but it can only be used on one at a time. I have to but 2 more to use on the others. There is no reason for this except greed to sell more units. Ron"

A tuning tool

"I purchased the Superchip because my diesel was not really running right; excessive smell in exhaust and a loss in mileage after replacing turbo that had a bad oil seal seal. The chip brought the mileage back to where it was, but more important is that the odor of the exhaust is MUCH better probably due to advancing the injection timing. The hidden advantage of this piece of equipment is it's ability to reprogram the engine in a few minutes as needed for different load conditions. I have run and worked with diesels since I was a kid as part of my business and tend to be conservative. That said, the option of not allowing the speed controll to be increased is very important. I'm not about to rev any engine above what the design engineers specify."

Nice Improvement

"I have a 2001 Dodge Cummins and was looking for some additional fuel and performance improvements. I installed the highest performance program first and was very impressed. It really improved the engine performance so much it would spin the tires from a stand still start. VERY STRONG!! I am not sure about fuel economy on this setting since I changed to the 6000lb. towing program because I didn't need that much HP. Overall I am very pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good performance improvement from their Dodge Cummings. I am currently measuring my fuel economy and hoping for the best. "

"PERSONALLY, I THINK THE UNIT FOCUS'S ON THE TIMING SIDE OF THE COMPUTER & NOT ENOUGH ON THE TOTAL FUEL / TIMING PICTURE... BUT, IT IS SOME BETTER THEN THE OEM SET-UP... YOU'LL HAVE TO ASK AGAIN ONCE WE GET AN INTAKE SET-UP & DUAL EXHAUST INSTALLED... Dennis"

"This thing seems to fulfill it's purpose of tuning transmission pressure, shift times, engine RPM, etc to achieve a higher performance, but I think it may be doing so at the detriment of the mechanical components. When I use the Performance settings my truck shifts WAY to hard out of first. Not sure about the milege benefits but it does have the 87 octane performance settings as well. Be aware that you must set your vehicle back to factory settings before any maintenance as well. I would give it a 5 on a ten scale...not really worth the money."

"It was easy to use. I had a slight problem w/install but a 5 minute call to the superchips cust. service and I was fixed and programing. My gas mileage has not improved, but the performance is definately there."

"The Superchips tuner I got for my 4.7l Dakota is awsome. I have installed the H.O. cam shafts, H.O. intake manifold, and K&N intake, and now the superchips just made them all work together. The everyday city driving is so nice...Low idle, soft shifts and 17-18 mpg. The highway driving and hard accelerations are unbelievable. First-Second chifts are rock hard, but I can't test second-third because by the time I am ready for third I am already over 80mph. And from a dead stop she'll lite 'em both up. Comparison: Held up with a tuned Subaru WRX STi."

"I felt an instant difference. Smoother shifts and better milage. I relized 3mpg increase in the city and 5mpg on the highway. The biggest difference is driving in traffic, no more lag in acceloration!!!"

"I was looking for at least 2 more miles to the gallon and more torque on the low end,and I got just what I wanted. I went from 12.9mpg to 14.76mpg so at almost 3 bucks a gal.it won't take long to recoupe the cost. Thanx gang!! Jeff & Dawn in k.c"

"I have noticed a horsepower gain around the top end of the RPM's. Been having too much fun with the Performance option to see any gas milage. Workes well with a few mod.s like air intake and exhaust."
