"I installed my superchip program hassle free in about 10 min. and that tens mintues was worth it in power gains, i recommend this to anyone as a simple, fairly cheap upgrade, i got every bit of the promised power, but i lost mpg, but when u drive a truck u get bad mpgs anyways."

"Using the 87 octane optimization settings on my heavily loaded work truck, the power and driveability improved slightly but the fuel economy improved significantly. I operate at between 5000, and 7500 ft. (up to 11,000 ft on occasion) elevation in the mountains of New Mexico, and am seeing an improvement of about 11% in gas mileage. Worth the investment!!"

SUPERCHIPS MAX MICRO TUNER FOR FORD 7.3 DIESEL

"A friend recommended the Micro Tuner, I have been looking for an improvement on mileage for this fine truck a FORD SUPER DUTY F-350 4 X 4 CREW CAB. I bought it second hand after having been flogged for 60.000 miles as a service truck in a copper mine. Repaired brakes and propeller shafts and tin work. Wasn't at all happy with the mileage, it's life average since I have owned it, 13.000 kms or 8128 miles, is: 5.09 km/ltr. 19.65 ltrs per 100 kms. 12.04 mi./gal 8.30 gals per 100 miles Got and installed the Superchip on Performance tow and got the following mileage: 5.26 km/ltr. 19.01 ltrs per 100 kms. 12.44 mi./gal 8.03 gallons per 100 miles this is with a lot of intown driving (no highway driving)with a speed limit of 60 km/hr or 37 miles/hr So the real improvement in mileage under the same conditions has only been in the range of 3%. But power, I always thought it was over powered but after the Superchips in Performance Tow it gained power that scares you, it goes and now you have to just barely touch the accelerator for it to take off, what I think is missing is the possibility to get the transmission into Lock Up at a lower speed, specially when cruising around town at a maximun of 60 km/hr 37 mi./hr. This Super Chip doesn't allow for changes in the Lock up engagement speed. The other option is that I should have bought the next Superchip upwards the Red One that allows you to change some running adjustments. As far as mileage improvements I think Super Chip could and should work hard a improving mileage in these trucks by supplying a software that could cut out cylinders when you are not using full power. It took me over 40 years to get to one of these trucks and now because of fuel costs I will probably have to park it soon, so please get at it fast. regards Robert PS. "Unfortunately, you cant change the settings on the fly, but, once you lock in the settings you want.. wow.. better accelleration, firmer shifts, and that's only on the 87 octane setting. I'm waiting for the summer when I pull my camper to set it at the tow/haul mode."

"I have a 02 Dodge PU With a4.7 4X4 I put 35in tires no it that killed my gas milege. I needed to do something.The Superchip Max Micro Tuner is The Key.14mpg To 20mpg Made Me very happy.The Airaid intake and 3"Flomaster exhaust gave me back my super bad Dodge"

"I can not say if this is making my gas milage better (I have not had this long enough yet), but I HAVE noticed a significant difference in the amount of torque when I changed the programming to "performance". I am very happy I purchased this product and Autoanything has the cheapest price for it."

"Ordered and quickly received the unit. It took about 10 minutes to install the safe tow program onto my 200 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel. I towed my fifth wheel 500 miles with much better power and fuel economy."

"I needed to adjust spedo because of larger tires. I also wanted to improve power and mileage. It's not a race car (didn't expect it to be) but it certainely has better pickup and shifts smother. I have also gone from about 286 miles per tank to about 310 miles per tank. So, it did exactly what I wanted."

"I found this products easy to use as well as very accurate to it's calibrations. Once I completed the downloads, the truck came to life...I was able to take the needle to the end of my speedometer without any effort. The truck found it's unused horsepower and put it to work."

"Few products work as advertised but this is definitely one of them. The instructions were easy to follow and within 20 minutes of opening the package I had completed programming my 02 Ford F150. The speedometer correction for my new 20" wheels was verified by GPS to be perfectly accurate."

"The tuner works great on the 3 different modes with noticable differences. However, on my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L I can't do anything but change the tire size. The rev limiter, governer chip and other features do not work. If this wasn't so good with the performance modes then I would have returned the product."

Some Improvement

"I installed a MicroTuner in my Dodge Ram with the 5.9L cummins, and have been driving with the truck empty on the "high performance" setting for a couple of weeks now.The unit is easy to configure as long as you follow the convoluted series of ignition on/ignition off sequences. Shifting is smoother and there has been an increase in horsepower/torque especially in the mid-range of the power curve. Overall the truck feels lighter and more nimble, no small feat for a truck weighing 7200 lbs. fuel savings have been marginal, maybe 1 MPG, but hey, at least you're not sacrificing mileage for an increase in performance. PROS: some increase in horsepower, good diagnostic tool, fairly easy to use. CONS: Can't tune on the fly, will only tune 1 vehicle although you can run the diagnostic program on several, marginal fuel savings."

"After receiving my Max Micro Tuner I took a trip through the mountains of KY,TN,NC, and GA. I could really tell a difference in the pulling of my trailer in those mountains. I used the mid setting and it seemed that my Super Duty 350 pulled so much better."

Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L

"I was pleasantly surprised with this product. According to the Superchips chart, the MAX Microtuner does not adjust shift points or shift firmness on my vehicle; however, I was able to set shift points at "stock," "stock + 250," "stock + 500," or a "Superchips" setting. I have only used the 87 Octane tune so far, but have recognized a significant seat-of-the-pants factor and a 7mpg increase in milage. The jump from 15mpg to 22mpg was more than welcome, and at no loss of power! The tuner's effect was unoubtedly enhanced by the aftermarked exhaust and air intake on my truck. My Ram may not have a Hemi, but I'd put it up against one any day!"

"I got this tuner from AutoAnything with free next day shipping, which was awesome. I have a problem with waiting for things to come in the mail, I get too anxious and get frustrated when I watch the UPS or FedEx truck drive by my house without dropping off a package. I know, I need therapy :)....Anyway, from the time I came home and picked it up off my porch to the time the new program was installed in my truck was maybe 7 or 8 minutes. A quick read through the directions will explain the process and some of the safeguards you have to do (such as disabling the fuel system by pulling the fuel pump fuse) to make sure you don't mess anything up. Go through the options, choose which tune you want, answer a couple of yes or no questions and that's it! The tuner saves your stock program so you can go back at any time, the uploads the new performance program to the computer. I have to say that I could feel the difference immediately!! Usually I'm skeptical of anything that claims instant horsepower, but this thing really does work! I can't comment much on the increase on gas mileage...between this and the Flowmaster exhaust I also bought, I can't seem to keep my right boot off the go pedal :)"
