Don't buy if your expecting a big difference

"I have a '01 Ford Ranger with the 4.0 I was hoping to improve the mpg's and gain a little more power with the chip. From what the dyno specs showed I was hopefully optimistic. How they got such great numbers, I'm not sure. It does seem to have a little more power, but I do have a cold air intake and aftermarket exhaust too. I'm not sure it would help much if not for the combination of the three. I haven't noticed the MPG improving, but it hasn't been on very long. The instructions weren't great for my model. It took a bit to figure out how to get the EEC out to attach the chip, but once I did it went fast."

jet chip

"i bought the chip along with some pulsstar spark plugs and i felt a bigger diffrence with the $100 plugs then the $250 module and i had to remove my computer to make the chip fit which voided all my warrenties"

"Installation was relatively simple, and would have been very easy if the computer module on my Jeep had been more accessible. It's still early, but it appears that I'm getting about 1 mpg less now, but a little better accelleration. If you're after better mpg's, this doesn't seem to be the ticket."

"I have purchased and installed the Jet Performance Module in my 07 Chrysler 300C.It was quick-easy and the results were great. Miles/gal increased about 2.5 mpg and acceleration made me call it a "JET""

"I've had the chip installed for about 2 weeks now. it's installed on my 2005 Dodge magnum with the 3.5L, and there is a "noticeable" change in the cars power off the line and while driving at highway speeds. I've also noticed a small increase in fuel economy."

"I have a 2006 Dodge Dakota with a 4.7L V8. I had a stage I Jet Chip and could tell some difference in performance. I recently went to dual exhaust and purchased a Stage II chip. Wow...Noticable increase in power and response. Unfortunatly the check engine light came on. I called Jet Chip and recieved an RMA number. I sent the chip in this past Monday and had a replacement today. Not bad considering its Thanksgiving week. I just installed the new chip and WOW!!! I spun the tires when I jumped on it at 30 mph(its raining but I could never do that before). You must run 91 or better octane or you will get horrible ping. Dont waste time with additives..."

No Change

"The Stage 1 chip installed on my 4.7 V8 2005 Dodge Quad Cab made absolutely no difference. I read another review that said this made a big difference on trucks with the 20" wheel package. However, I beg to differ. I see no MPG change, and no performance change. The only thing that did change was the balance on my credit card."

Underpowered 4cyl and 6cyl

"Huge performance gain, mainly mid to top end. Noticeable difference with the Stage 2 kit. 180F thermostat really helps!! My guess is that for V8 users, you won't notice as much of a power gain. Bottom line: Buy this product and do the stage 2 work, its beyond worth it!!"

"I purchased this chip for my 06' Ram 1500 v6 truck. There are very few chips for this model engine. I was hoping for an increase in performance, increased gas mileage, and more horsepower. I'm still on my first tank of gas since I put this chip in, and I will say this: 1. I noticed the shiftpoints changed quite a bit and I like it. My truck no longer shifts 3 times for me to get to 40mph. Instead, it seems like such a smooth transition that I barely even notice it. 2. I'm at half a tank of gas right now and if all stays the same I'll have travelled 365 miles on one fill up. That means I would have gained 1MPG just by placing this chip in. Not bad. 3. The installation was very easy, so easy in fact that after the first day with the chip in, my truck stalled and I had to pull over to reseat the chip again. I was so excited the night before that I put the chip in with a flashlight and I didn't snap the JET module into the PCM hard enough. It was a simple fix, and had I not been so anxious I'm sure this incident would have never happened. 4. This chip has be believing that my little Ram V6 can now start behaving like a V8, so more mods like a K&N filter and possibly a flowmaster will soon accompany this performance module! All in all, I think this chip is worth it."

"I bought this Stage II Jet Chip for my Jeep. I thought I would get a little bit more oommph for this $200+ chip. Maybe it takes a few tanks of gas to really affect anything. I do notice that it pulls harder all through the rev range though."

"I am very happy with the results! Installation was easy; about 5 minutes. I noticed a difference the first time I drove it after intalling the chip. My truck has more low end "pep", accelerates more quickly and maintains speed when going up hills. (it used to have trouble maintaining speed up hill). For the record, the 3.7L won't win many races, but with the chip, air raid intake, and K&N filter (using stock air box) I am happy with the modest level of performance and the fact that I still get 20+ Mpg on the highway. (I have noticed about a .5 Mpg increase) Sean"

"I purchased the PCM because I wanted to up the gas mileage on my pickup. I was getting 12.5-14.5 and was hoping for another 1 or 2 miles/gallon. Didn't change. I usually drive 55-60 mph and take it easy. I haven't taken any trips at 70-75 mph so I don't know if that will be better. My son thought the pickup has more zip and doesn't ping as much. I haven't tried premium gas but have a 180 thermostat."
