"The programmer is not worth the money. I noticed no further improvment on pick up from a stop or rolling start. On the other hand I did put on a volant cold air intake and saw a huge difference. The programmer was put on after the intake so maybe I would of felt more if I had just reprogramed first."

"I have a 2002 GMC Truck that I installed 33" tires. With the factor program, my speedometer was off 4 mph at 70 mph. I was loosing power because speed differential. Now with the programmer, the truck acks like I had the 265R75/16s on. Easy and fast to program. Excellent."

"I have only set up the "Regular Gas" setting, which has helped the part throttle response, but it "pings" badly at WOT, which it did from the time it was about 1 year old."

"MY TRUCK HAS A CAT-BACK EXHAUST, K&N AIR FILTER AND 20" WHEELS. I TUNED FOR 87 OCTANE FUEL, RECALIBRATED THE SPEEDOMETER FOR TIRE DIAMETER AND FIRMED UP THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS. MY GAS MILEAGE WENT DOWN FROM 20-21MPG TO A SOLID 18MPG. THE SHIFTING IS BARELY NOTICEABLE. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME."

"I would recommend autoanything-the programmer was over $100 less than anywhere else & it was at my door in 3 days!As for the hypertech programmer; I noticed little difference on either fuel setting, so I would NOT recommend it."

"The programmer was easy to use
as I had no trouble in programming what I wanted. I am currently using it on the 93 octane fuel mode as I occasionaly drag race the vehicle at the drag strip in bracket racing. My ET times were not improved any great extent but the car does feel more responsive. Have not checked gas mileage yet. Over all I am satisfied with the product. My car has on-star on it and it is a little trouble to disconnect but now that I know how it will be easier next time."

"I HAVE A HYPERTECH ON MY CHEVY DIESEL PICKUP THAT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.
BUT THE HYPERTECH THAT I BOUGHT FOR MY YUKON IS A JOKE, IT DID NOT HELP ME WITH FULE MILAGE, OR ACCLERATION. IT'S A JOKE, I WASTED A LOT OF MONEY FOR NOTHING."

"I've read that some F150 are "quick" and some are "slugs". I have one of the later. Also, gas mileage was a lot less than desireable (and less than sticker advertised). So I was hoping that I could pick up a little better mileage with this also. Upon installing the 87 octane program I did notice a different tone to the exhaust while idling. Once I drove it, there is a noticeable improvement over the stock program. Don't get me wrong, It won't press you to the seat, but it does give a nice little extra power boost. With the mileage, I am a short comuter (35 miles each way) and have been lucky to get anything over 13 mpg in combo driving, the last 2 tanks of fuel I got 15 mpg exactly on both of them. This to me is real world driving, again this is not huge but it does help when your driving these thirsty beasts. It may take a while for the return on the investment, but for me it is definetly worth it."

"Seems ok, have it set on 87 and firm trans shifts. Causes it to ping a little. Will put premium in it and reprogram to 93 and see. I have noticed an increase, but not heart stopping like the chips in my friend's diesel Ford."

PPIII - 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L

"To even the playing field, before installing Hypertech's tuning, I had installed a free flow cat-back dual exhaust system and an after market high flow cool air intake. Having topped it off with the PPIII's 93 octane performance tuning, I was, in a word, stunned. They say the `99 Sierra should have a power gain of 18 - 22 horse - no lie. I was skeptical at first, but I've had it installed for about three weeks now and still can't keep my foot out of the gas. Sure pick ups weren't built to be hot rods, but I feel like I'm driving one now relative to the stock tuning. I used to get about 14 - 16 mpg high way (cruising around 90mph - 2200rpm). When I recalculated with the PPIII tuning I was getting about 17.5 mpg (calculations done with one full tank of fuel). Not bad. Especially considering that was three days after installing the tuning, hence I REALLY couldn't keep my foot out of it. I really notice the power gains in the low RPMs in 1st gear right off the line - much more torque which equals burn-outs galore :-) and much quicker throttle response. Further more, after experimenting with the shift points I was able to hit 90mph in 2nd gear around 5700rpm. I've got to say, that 5.3L sounds incredible when it gets up above 5500. I haven't timed it yet, but it feels like my 0-60 times are at least 1.5 seconds faster with the tuning. Over all, I'm completely content with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone stuck in a pick up with a sever "need for speed." Happy pedal mashing!"

"Installed the programmer in a 2005 GMC 2500HD. It was very easy to install. I noticed improved acceleration and power but don't buy it if you want better gas mileage. It doesn't increase gas mileage. I have owned several Hpertech programmers in for various truck and have never had any problems with any of them."

Hypertech Prog. III - 2003 F-250 6.8L V10

"AutoAnything shipped extremely fast (ground ship and I got it three days from when I ordered!) Hypertech Prog. III performance is about as I expected using the 87 octane duel fuel option, i.e., slight to moderate power increase above 3,000 rpm, i.e., noticable change (but basically no noticable change below 3,000rpm), firmer shifts and corrected speedometer for 33" tires. If you are looking for better gas mileage or huge noticable increases in power, I am afraid you will be dissappointed in your $285 purchase, however, if you have reasonable expectations and understand that ~25hp on a 6,000lb truck is a minor increase, it does very well what it advertises."
