"I've got the 5.4L, even with the performance setting for 87 octane it made a noticable difference. I bought it for the sole purpose of adjusting the speedometer due to putting low profile 18's on but the programmer came before my wheels and I had to try it out the power settings. It definitely made it more fun to drive."

"It gave my H2 a little more pep (I'm running 37" mud tires) and trued up the speedometer. I'll definitely order one of these for future rigs."

"Nothing spectacular to report
Very minor performance upgrade
My guess is that the stock engine is already pretty well tuned"

must have for trailer towing

"When the GM tech recommended this solution to my rear end being a 4.10 now instead of the standard 3.73 that the 1500 came with I was skeptical. For a 1996 Van there is no other out there that even touches rear end and tire size change . My wife noticed the shift point changes without being told. I have not evaluated the difference in using the 87 and 91 octane programs but at 12 miles per gallon with 91 loaded I will have to be at the base of the Rockies with a full load of water before I use it again. My MPG without is 14 so I assume there is more power but we live in Florida and during the test we were commuting not towing. I will let you know when we get to the base of that mountain that last time almost defeated my van taking it down to 26 mph to get over this summer when I return to the scene of the reason to upgrade my tranny.
by the way listing in the catalog does not include my Van but the program does. I often have that problem with the R engine van built on the 1500 truck frame. GM changed nomenclature in 1995 for calling them g20 vans to the 1500 /express designation and that confused the parts suppliers."

"it easy to use the power programmer but after I tune it with my 2004 F150 with
transmition firmness and after market tire with big size 33"my idle feel drop to
600rpm with after maket AEM
INTAKE SYSTEM & MASTERFLOW
exhaust. After a week my engine light went on & I plug
back the programmer to read
the DTCS,give me the code #171 & 174 saying fuel to lean on bank -1 & Bank-2,so
I clear the DTCS & I tune it back to stock cofiguration.
Now I'm stock with programmer
which is useless with my case
cause,if I power tune my truck again I'm going to have the same problem with the engine light on & I can't get a state inspection.
I don't know if I can make adjustment with this programmer to enrich the fuel
mixture.

"The Hyperttech Power Programmer III is a great product! I'm getting 3+ miles a gallon more out of my 5.9l 2000 Dodge Durango. This is on 87 octane. I can't wait to take a trip I'm sure it will do even better! Programming was easy with simple and clear to use instructions. It took all of 15 minutes, if that, to install the program. Great price, product, and shipping. Great customer service, quick and friendly. Thanks."

"Daily commuter that needed a little bit more positive transmission upshifting. Hypertech PPIII instructions were easy to read, understand and install. Runs like a different car now - hard to keep my foot off the gas pedal. Would recommend this product, especially, to non-mechanics, like me, that want just a little more punch in performance, rather than spending thousands of dollars on additional add-ons. "Try it, you'll like it.""

HPP III a Must Have for my '04 GMC SIERRA CREW W/5.3VORTEC

"This Power Programmer is an excellent product that is easy to use. I immediately noticed the firmer shifts and quicker response off the line. Haven't tried it yet with 93 octane, but am looking forward to it to see the difference in performance. Overall, simple to program if you follow the instructions verbatim. Mileage seems slightly better. Highway is around 17mpg vs. the usual 15mpg I was getting before.
And.....you don't have to take it to the dealer to change tire size/speedo ratios, plus can read trouble codes.....awesome! Highly recommend to anyone. Just don't expect your ride to turn into a dragster, because that's not it's purpose. It harnesses the best performance from the engine without any wrenching. If you want extreme performance, you will most likely have to modify the engine itself. Hypertech has done their math on this one!"

"This is my second Hyper tech Power Programmer to own and I would not buy anyother programmer out there. I improved my gas mileage by 3 miles per gallon and I've had significant horsepower gains. I have only had it a few weeks and it has already paid for itself."

"Well I finally bought one, and I can say it was worth every penny. I use this on my 1997 Chev Pickup. Good gains. I can feel the difference. I see the difference now when I am towing my toyhauler and atv's. I am very happy with my purchace. I would recommend this unit to anyone with my same situation. I needed a little more power for towing. And a plus is that the gas mileage has inproved a small amount. I searched and searched and did not find a lower price than right here on AutoAnything."

"this programmer was very easy to install and made a big difference on my 2005 dodge ram with the hemi i have a performance intake and exhaust and the programmer it changed my top speed to 128 instead of the factory 116. I am stationed here in germany so i have plenty of places to test it out"

"I put this on an F-350 crew cab 7.3 Powerstroke that has a 4 inch lift and 35's. I was getting about 11.3 miles per gallon. Installed hypertech reset the computer to the correct tire size, firmer shifts and stage III (100HP) and I am getting an average of 16.5 MPG (17.7 HWY). I figure this thing will save me $1,182.00 in fuel this year alone.
Should have pulled the trigger on this purchase along time ago.
Bill"
