"If you want the best bang for your buck, then go with a Power Programmer. I did catback exhaust, AFE cold air intake, and a Hypertech III. My truck was dynoed with a 356hp, a 5.4 3valve triton stock has 300. WOW"

Hypertech Programer III

"On my 2005 Ford F 150 after reprograming the vehicle I could immediately tell a difference that the vehicle was stronger on take off and that it rapped up much quicker and shifted stronger all the way up to about 75 mph. The acceleration overall was great. Before it was very soft on take off and basically it made some noise but you were going no where. Now it takes off and you can really tell the difference. I don't really expect much on gas mileage but I havent had it long enough to tell yet. I also have a travel trailer and I have yet to make a trip but that is one reason I bought the programmer because I thought my pickup would do better with more torque and horsepower. Initially I am very happy with the purchase and result. It was worth the money. Time will tell on the rest. I plan a trip soon and that will be another overall test on performance and we will see how it does on gas."

"it took about 0 minutes to install and most of the questions that were asked were very understandable but 2 of them were a little bit complicated to understand. i had to read the manual about 3 times to understand it. other than that simple install. dont really notice a increase in performance on street driving but can feel it in freeway driving."

"This Hypertech Power Programmer is the best product on the market, by far. The power gains, the number of options, the fuel savings, all of these are wonderful advantages of the Hypertech Power Programmer III. I owned an earlier model, but this one has way more options, different shift firmness, higher speed rating for tires, better instructions, this is just an all around great product. I would pay twice what it cost!"

Love the Hypertech

"The programmer arrived as promised. It was a snap to hook up and worked wonders for my Duramax. I pull a 34' fifth wheel and I was able cruise as over 55 up a 7% grade. I have a friend with the same trailer and pickup. He was in 3rd gear running over 3000 RPM. I passed him and was running 2400 RPM in 4th gear. Looks like the milege is about the same, but I have only had one trip with it. I would recommend it (and AutoAnything) to everyone."

"I plugged the programmer into my truck and re-programmed it in about 15 minutes, simple as changing channels on your TV! This is the best, easiest; cost efficient way of gaining tremendous horsepower and torque. It also increased my mileage by 2 mpg!"

"I WAS NOT SHURE WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A POWER PROGRAMMER AND I DIDNT REALLY THINK THEY EVEN WORKED BUT I TOOK A CHANCE AND BOUGHT A HYPERTECH POWER PROGRAMMER AND IT REALLY WORKS, ON LONG TRIPS YOU DO NOTICE A SAVE IN GAS AND WELL AROUND TOWN I HAVENT REALLY NOTICED SINCE I DO PRESS THE GASS OFTEN A LIL HARDER THAN I SHOULD BUT OVERALL ITS A GOOD PRODUCT, YOU CAN CHANGE A VARIETY OF SETTINGS ON YOUR TRUCK AND BE ABLE TO GET WHAT YOU WANT OUT OF IT... I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE ITS GREAT AND WORTH EVERY PENNY..."

"I've owned Superchips and the SCT for my '04 F-150 5.4l and now I have the Hypertech for the identical engine on my '07. I don't know if this is the absolute worst tuner on the market because it's only my third, but you would have to look long and hard to find one as sorry as this piece of no-horsepower trash. Let's see if they return my money as guaranteed."

"Very easy user interface. The improvements can be felt immediately. One complaint is that before you purchace this product there should be a hint for you to also purchase the low temperature thermostat at the same time. I found out when I was reading the instructions after I received the Hypertech III, that I also needed the thermostat (information that delayed installation)."

"Truck used to ping badly on 87 octane. Had the "Flash of Death" from the dealer which cured the ping but killed the power and gas mileage. Used the 87 octane program and got back all the power and mileage as before without the ping. No problem getting through NY state emissions inspection. Easy to use, excellent product. Also used it to correct a slight speedometer error. Very pleased, no complaints!"

Good unit

"The PP III is a pretty good unit. I haven't been able to really tell about any improvement in gas mileage as of yet. I installed the 87 octane tuning on my 06 Ford F-150 King Ranch. I didn't change the transmission setting or anything else. I can tell a difference in the "pep", especially when starting from a dead stop. I am located in Germany, and the gas here does not have the same octane ratings as in the States. I order to get the "Super Plus" (as it is called here), you will pay the over $3.00 a gallon, as of this post. If you are thinking of buying the unit - do it!"

"Prgramming was a snap. Very fast and easy to use. Noticed a difference right away, all though not as much as I had hoped for. I used 87 octane setting. Don't know about the mileage yet. Will try 93 octane next time to see what happens."

"I installed the hypertech III in my 2004 gmc with a 6.0. There is a definite low end power increase that you can feel when you leave the stop light. I gained 1 mpg in fuel economy, but i do use the gas pedal more than most so you might get better results. I would recomend it for a person who wants more responce and tighter shifting."

"Not the difference I thought it would make in hp. Check the dyno report, when using 87 octane you only get about 3hp at very high rpm. The shift firmness setting works well and makes the shifts very tight, hoping to get better mpg out of it. Needed the power for towing a camper, will know for sure in a month if it is worth the $300.00 I spent"
