Description

Only the strongest species survive the mean streets and the Edge Evolution Performance Programmer adapts your rig for total domination. Three power levels mutate your truck’s performance gene to extract its full potential. And, a backlit LED delivers crucial engine data at a glance.

This advanced tuner modifies both gas and diesel burners for optimum performance. The Evolution delivers double-digit horsepower and torque gains on gas models; diesel rigs blister the blacktop with triple dividends. Plus, a special mileage tune adjusts for different octane ratings and improves fuel economy—if you can keep your foot out of it!

Beyond flashing your ECU with monstrous power, the Evolution’s custom pod seamlessly mounts to your dash for a clean factory look. The in-cab display delivers your engine’s vitals—keeping you abreast of up to 24 critical parameters like RPM, MPH and EGT depending on model. What’s more, Edge backs your Evolution with a 2-year warranty.

Notes

  • In California, the Edge Evolution is only legal for racing and off-road vehicles and may not be used on the highway.
  • Flex Fuel Vehicles: fueling with E85 is not recommended in conjunction with your Edge Evolution unit. Burning E85 reduces efficiency and power compared to using gas, which nullifies the effect of Edge Evolution's programming.

"I keep hoping I might see some difference, and all I can feel are the firmer shifts. Not even sure that is a good thing for the trans, despite what is said, it feels abrupt. Gas mileage hasn't changed at all. Maybe my expectations were overly optimistic. I still haven't tried the custom programming feature, maybe I'll see what parameters can be changed safely and see how that goes."

"I installed the Edge Evolution on my 06 duramax. The install was easy because of the plug and play. I have yet to see much improvement in the MPG when using the economy mode however on the extreme tune the truck comes alive and is a animal."

"Works great so far. Easy to install with the exception of tapping the hole in the exhaust. Haven't had long enough to see if my fuel milage has improved. Also haven't towed my camper yet to see the difference in towing."

"The install of the product was straight forward and clean. Programming the truck was really simple. I loaded the stage 1 and started the truck. Truck started fine and idled good. I never drove the truck with Stage 1 as I figured why not go to Stage 2 right away. Truck runs awesome. Shifts are firm and reliable. I have not really seen much of an improvement in mileage, but that may have to do with the fun I am having now that the truck runs better. I think next spring when the weather gets better and the price of gas comes back down I may try the Stage 3 program. All in all I am happy and this is the first programmer I have purchased and was skeptical."

"After trying all three stages found that for good fuel economy and plenty of power stage one was great. Stage 2 is even better for pulling heavy loads with out loosing speed,fuel economy is ok. Stage 3 the amount of power it puts out is almost scary would recommend if you are wanting to use this to upgrade your tranny to a performance tranny to get even better results. The truck I have is a 97' f-250 extende cab powerstroke w/e40d tranny."

"Purchased the programmer looking for additional fuel savings, it has improved by about 2 mpg, but I was hoping for more. I have tried it in all settings and am finding the increase in mpg about the same in each setting. A dramatic difference in performance in the 2 and 3 setting. Definitely more power and more fun to drive. What I like the most is the quicker and firmer shifting. I have also installed a cold air intake along with a cat back Magnaflow dual exhaust. Will and have recommend to friends."

"I love my Edge Programmer. A few minutes for initial install with very minimal time for changes and custom tuning. Definately noticed a difference on my '07 SCrew F150 FX4. Improved gas mileage by at least 2 to 3 miles per gallon, while increasing power and torque both on low end and the mid to top end. Recommend for all Ford owners."

"Great product, even more than i expected. I have an 2005 ford f150 5.4L with a 6" lift and 35's. And this programmer made it perform like a different truck. It pulls hard in every gear. Love it cant say enough about it. Buy It, worth every penny"

"I drive a 2005 f-150 fx4. It was very sluggish before I put the edge evolution on it. It is like night and day the throttle response is a lot faster. I have not us stage 3 yet but the stage one is great and the stage 2 has power I feel like I can pull anything. Great product and I would buy this"

"I bought this programmer because it has the gauges appear on the display, it came with the probe and it also comes with a pod to mount. When you look at the other programmers you have to buy all these things seperate, and with the 10% off its hard to beat. It has also woke my truck up."

"Performance has improves significantly much more power on hills and a lot less down shifting. But I have not noticed any change in gas milage. I Got 11 MPG pulling my 5th wheel prior to installing and still get 11 MPG."

"I purchased the programmer because I have oversized tires on my truck and my speedometer is off. It advertises that you can change the tire size, and that corrects the speedometer, however what they don't tell you is that this feature is not available with an allison transmission. That should be something you know. Other then that, there is definitely added power and performance. Good product!"

"Can def feel a difference in power on level 2 and 3. During the install the programming drained down my battery that it wouldn't start. Charged battery, finished programming and worked fine. Just beware, there is no customer service on the weekend if you run into a problem!"

"THE EDGE WAS A TOTAL SURPRISE TO ME. I WAS EXPECTING AN UPGRADE IN GAS MILEAGE WITH THE ECONOMY MODE. BUT EVER SINCE I WENT AND PURCHASED SOME PREMIUM GAS AND A BOTTLE OF OCTANE BOOSTER BECAUSE COSTCO GAS APPARENTLY DOESN'T HAVE VERY GOOD QUALITY GAS. THE GAS MADE MY 5.3L PINGED SO BAD WHEN I PROGRAMMED MY 08' GMC SIERRA TO EXTREME MODE. SO AFTER I PUT IN SOME OCTANE BOOSTER MY 5.3L BEAST CAME TO LIFE AND I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH MORE HP IT HAD. I KNOW ITS ONLY LIKE 35HP BUT WOW IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE...I HAVE HAD IT IN EXTREME MODE WASTING EXPENSIVE PREMIUM LIKE ITS GOING OUT OF STYLE EVER SINCE...I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY. I LOVE THE EDGE EVOLUTION AND THE NEW ENGINE BOOST IT HAS GIVEN ME. MAYBE SOMEDAY I WILL KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO GET GAS MILEAGE OUT OF IT. BUT FOR NOW I WILL KEEP IT IN EXTREME MODE. GOOD THING THAT I HAVE ROYAL PURPLE PROTECTING MY ENGINE BECAUSE I AM PUSHING THE ENGINE TO THE LIMIT FROM NOW ON...ONE OF THOSE I DON'T CARE WHAT IT COSTS I JUST WANT TO SEE HOW FUN IT COULD BE TO DRIVE WITH IT PURCHASES. "over all big change lots of power. but what they dont tell you is that you cant change back and forth the settings .it cofuses the trucks computer and locks both up and you are stranded for five days.now this is only on the older trucks up to iwas told 2000s.then they changed the brains and the trucks computer functions much better. if i would have known this i would have just gone with a single 1 set plug in chip. scared to take the programer to a different setting now and have it lock up again. 1997 f-250 7.3 diesel"
