"I have a 2008 F-150 FX2 with the 5.4 v8. Before my truck was a real turd, but with this programmer in combination with a K&N cold air intake,my truck has come to life. I noticed that the default shift points are alot firmer than stock in stage one. It is easy to pull out on the interstate. In stage 3 it takes off.It is a great looking programmer,it looks factory with the pod.Very easy to install, tookabout 20 min. It has so many options. I love the fact that it can diagnose problems whenever something goes wrong. For the money it is the best programmer on the market. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a Ford,Chevy, or Dodge looking for that extra oomph without having to break the bank."

"First of all, this thing is super easy to use. The unit came to me very quickly the manufactured date was literally 2 weeks prior to my order so apparently these things move fast. The 0-60 recording option is a no brainer and I was able to pull a 6.86 on the towing setting. So far very pleased with the tranny shifts (firmer) but couldn't tell you on the mpg as I can't keep the right foot out of the throttle."

"I bought this Programmer because I didn't like the shifting points and the fact that driving up grades were sluggish. I installed this on my 01 F-150 4.6l 4x4 Screw. Installation took all of 5 minutes, if that. The increase in power is awesome. It tells me everything I need to know about my vehicles' diagnostics. I only had a couple problems though, first: I have Windows Vista and it took awhile for me to get the right program to install the software, Second: The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stage programming is awesome, except stage 2 feels like either my tranny's gonna blow or my rear is gonna fly off. It kicks hard when shifting. Hard enough to put my head in my head rest and that's 2nd and 3rd gear. Highway driving in California is hell, so I changed it to stage 3 so the shifting takes longer. It works smoothly now. The mount the Programmer came in was Black and I have a grey dash. Would be nice to have a different assortment of colors. Something that matches."

"I've had the programmer about 3 weeks and it works as advertised. Installation was straightforward and well documented. Setting the performace levels is also very easy. I've been in performance level 1 most of the time and shifting is noticeably smoother. I also had to revert back to factory setting and that worked exactly as expected."

"I purchased for both the digital gauges display and for the advertised MPG improvement mostly. I did see a great improvement in power and shifting but lost 1 mpg in tow program and 2 mpg in race program. I would not recommend for anyone trying to improve MPG but good power and I like the digital gauges."

"Stock my truck would run about 11.2 sec in an 1/8 of a mile. Now its best run is a 9.98 in an 1/8 at about 75 or 80 mph! Not bad for a full size pick-up. I gained about 50 h/p on extreme mode and 40 ft. lbs. of torque. The economy mode saves me about 3-4 miles per gallon. I went from 19 to about 23 or 24 mpg back and forth to work.(if you keep your foot out of it!!!) Overall its a great product, just needs to be a little cheaper."

"the evolution has completely changed the engine and tranny tenfold. no more eratic shifting and it the truck maintains highway speed now without having to constantly change throttle position. i constantly tow so the tow setting is where it spends most it time and towing 4500lbs and still get about 14.5 miles per gallon average and was about 12 before the programmer and in level 3 it get about 18 on the highway where it was about 16 before. definately well worth the money in my opinion"

"I have the 5.4 f150 only other mods are cat back flowmaster original 40 series and a k&n filter. This took about 5 min. to install at first I thought it was amazing when I was only running on level 1 or 2 but then when I filled her up with 93 and put it on level 3, it was unbelieveable. Before my truck felt like it couldn't get out of its own way... now it feels like when I hook it up it feels like it is going to pull my trailer out from under my snowmobiles hahaha... the shift firmness etc is one of my favs. It really has made it a completely new truck. Would reccomend for everyone. If you are even considering getting it.. just do it you will be happy you did. I am"

"Ease of installation was real easy and could be done in about 15 minutes - had to call to get the right dash plate for my vehicle, but was promptly sent - free. The correct dash plate was a base grey and interior is the dull black/gray so had to paint to match. No big deal.
Programming is simple enough and guides you right through without any problems. Takes just a couple minutes each time you change programs.
Have tried each of the performance levels and have since left it on 4 (most aggressive). It definately changes shift points with pretty reasonable gains. Although advertised as up to 40+ hp, for my GMC gains are more like 20-22hp (if you go to their vehicle specific charts, you can see what yours will be). It didn't change my truck to a race car and throw you through the seat, but is a nice upgrade. Most folks seem to see the best fuel improvement at 3, but I'll say that so far on 4 that it also is improving 1-2mpg. I really can't say the true effects for feel and economy yet as I just bought my truck and only has 1,000 miles on it, so it's not even broke in. But if considering, I would say you won't be disappointed."

"The Edge Programmer appears to have actually improved my trucks performance. Additionally there is the benefit of having up to 4 different pieces of data displayed in a convenient place (mounted on the dash). Keeping the MPG number right in front of you helps remind you to relax and take it easy. Overall the difference will pay for itself over time. Being able to switch the display color is nice, so it matches better. Plus the housing was a decent match for my flint interior. I would recommend this as a useful add-on if you have the money. If they come out with a wireless version (put a bluetooth connector on your ODB jack, and it syncs with the display) that would be near perfect."
