"I have a 2007 Ford f150 FX4 with a 5.4L 3 vavle. I have noticed an extreme amount of power on the 2nd level setting and noticed a little gas improvement. My truck right now besides the programmer is pretty much stock. I would recommend this unit to any one else."

"The installation was really easy but three days after installing it it killed my battery. Also when I change the rev limiter it messes with my speed o. I do notice a change in shifting and somewhat increase in power not too much but somewhat. Cant say anything about the gas yet."

"This thing is amazing, it does everything they said , the horse power increases are great and it improved mpg in everysetting, after some trials i found the tow settin the best improvement for mpg gain with an avg. of 4.5 gain, even when pulling a 27" travel trailer (not a lite model)and all the added info it displays makes it easy to monitor your engine, just like all the gauges that are a must in our big trucks.but if you want to leave anything that claims to be a H/O wondering what happened and how a truck just sucked the doors off then the 80 hp gain is for you. install was super easy if you can hold a 3/8 drill straight you can do this the hardest part was getting the egt probe wire through the wire harness boot.(really)would highly recomend this to every d-max owner"

"All around it is a great product, getting 4 mpg more by advancing my timing 2.5 degrees running 93 octane fuel. Easy to install, but the velcrow mount for the pod isnt to strong, just replaced it with 3M tape. It shifts harder, and is much faster. A downside is that in power mode when I go full throttle the torque converter squeels a bit when it shifts, but other than that its good. Got my 1/4 mile time down to a 13.2/also have many other upgrades."

"I installed larger tires on my truck and the local garage couldn't reprogram for my size. So I got this Edge programmer and was able to get the speedometer correct. Plus the Tow program works great helped improve my transmission shifts. I would differently recommend this programmer just wish it was a little cheaper."

Edge Programmer, The good and bad

"The good:
Nearly factory appearence.
Easy Installation.
Extra Gauges and code reading is welcomed.
The Bad:
The first one I got was DOA, they sent me a new one and a prepaid postage to send the old one back, so at least they stood behind it.
I bought this primarly for mileage improvement and occasional towing. I have actually gotten worse mileage in the economy mode than in the stock mode. Further the multi displacment feature on my truck goes from invisible in stock mode to very noticeable in the economy mode when it goes back to eight cylinders. So I primarily run it in stock mode which makes it an expensive set of aux. gauges.
I did use for towing and it was a nice improvement in power but running premium fuel really makes it not worth it.
Overall I have been disappointed in it. If I got another half mile to the gallon or better then maybe worth putting up with the rough on/off of the multi displacement feature. But with no improvement in mileage its a waste of $$."

"Justified the cost by a 5% assumed mileage increase (6.0 Diesel), and it's too early to say, since still "enjoying" the extra performance. Newest software has 4 modes now, adding "Economy". Gives a much improved throttle feel, less downshifting. Love all the engine stats on screen. Install instructs were terrible - doesn't tell you where to plug in EGT cable. Used you-tube videos to see others' ideas for routing it thru firewall! Just need to get a few tanks of normal driving before concluding any mileage improvement."

"Increase in fuel milage. On a 20 mile highway trip, my truck averaged 24.3 MPG on level 2 (according to my trucks computer). Thats about a 4 MPG increase. It also cut 3 tenths of a second and added 2 MPH to my 1/8th mile times on level 3."

F-150 Edge programmer for 5.4 in an FX2

"WOW! I don't know what my FX2 is running on any more. The needle doesn't seem to move off of FULL. No kidding. I set it on the #2 program for towing and it is one smokin' deal. Why couldn't Ford do this? I struggled for a whole year with bad fuel economy. Bought an AFE cold air intake, changed the Exhaust, and installed an Airaid throttle body spacer. It all changed in 15 minutes with this Edge Programmer. The only grievance I have is that it displays ONLY in miles. Up here in the Great White North; we're metric (just like the rest of the world.... O.K.) So; it would be nice to have the option to change over to Celsius and kilometers. So: realistically; this thing will pay for itself in about 5,000 Km (3,000 miles for the metrically challenged). I've recommended it to several friends already. And; the nifty little housing exactly matches the F-150 dash to give that it-was-always-there stock look. Do yourself a big time favour, buy an Edge Programmer, save the environment, save some serious $$s and get a whack of seat-of-your-pants Xtra power immediately."

"I drive a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3 V8 4X4, with the Edge Evolution programmer my truck feels like a different truck. When I set the programmer to economy mode I have seen a 2 to 2.5 mpg increase. I think one could see as much as a 3 to 4 mpg increase when driving on flat terrain. When I put the programmer into extreme mode it really put me back in my seat. You really can feel the power when passing another car on a farm and market road. In extreme mode I only saw a 1 mpg increase, maybe from having a heavy foot. Installation of the Edge Evolution programmer is a breeze after you read the instructions, and the digital outlook really compliments the already great looking gauge cluster. Overall a really great product, with the mpg increase programmer should pay itself off in a little less than 4,000 miles. After that it's just money left back in the pocket for your next upgrade. Hope this review will help you in making a great money saving purchase."

"I needed a bigger truck to tow my RV, and used was the only way I could go.Got a 2002 Ford F150 5.4 triton. It was getting 11.2 around town. Now that sucked!Got the Evolution and things are great.Installed it in about 10 minutes.Operational instructions are very easy to understand.I now get 14.2 mpg around town and 19 mpg on the highway.Truck has plenty of balls for towing.8.4 seconds zero to sixty. For a 5000 lb sled,I think this is excellant!Never have tried stage 3 yet,I am so happy with the towing mode i think I'll just keep it there!"
