Description

Only the strongest species survive the mean streets and the Edge Evolution Performance Programmer adapts your rig for total domination. Three power levels mutate your truck’s performance gene to extract its full potential. And, a backlit LED delivers crucial engine data at a glance.

This advanced tuner modifies both gas and diesel burners for optimum performance. The Evolution delivers double-digit horsepower and torque gains on gas models; diesel rigs blister the blacktop with triple dividends. Plus, a special mileage tune adjusts for different octane ratings and improves fuel economy—if you can keep your foot out of it!

Beyond flashing your ECU with monstrous power, the Evolution’s custom pod seamlessly mounts to your dash for a clean factory look. The in-cab display delivers your engine’s vitals—keeping you abreast of up to 24 critical parameters like RPM, MPH and EGT depending on model. Notes

  • Flex Fuel Vehicles: fueling with E85 is not recommended in conjunction with your Edge Evolution unit. Burning E85 reduces efficiency and power compared to using gas, which nullifies the effect of Edge Evolution's programming.

"Installed the Edge Evolution on my 08 F150 with the 4.6L. HP increased and mileage went up. I also have dual cat back exhaust and Volant cold air intake. Noticed a sizable increase in performance with all three installed. I recommend all three to get the most from your vehicle."

"I am really pleased with the Edge Evolution Programmer I purchased for my 2004 F150 with the 5.4L. Installation was straight forward and easy. I modified the dash unit slightly as it didn't fit the way I liked between the existing moldings. I used the Dremel to thin down the plastic on the right side and the fit was much better. So far I've only used the tow mode, but wow what an improvement. I'm looking forward to trying the performance mode #03!!! Although the unit was expensive the results are well worth it."

"Ordering from AutoAnything was easy and the delivery of the Edge from AutoAnything was outstanding, overnight means overnight. Ordered at 5pm and had it in my hands next day by 2pm. GREAT JOB!! Had no problems installing the Edge, Took about an hour. Only problem was Ford had flashed my trucks PCM 1 week earlier with all new program codes and Edge hadn’t written a download yet to rewrite fords new PMC flash. It took just over a week for Edge to get the new program written and tested. Just to advise everyone that if you encounter a problem on a weekend, they are closed and there is no one to help or advise you. This I found a little disappointing. Finally got the program downloaded today and I’ve only programmed power setting #2 but it sure woke the Powerstroke up. Awesome power difference. Did the 60 mph test and it took 4 sec. off my time. Worth waiting for."

"Looks great with my black interior, the pod isnt the highest quality product but you can make it fit perfectly with a lil modification. Functions very well for my needs, I mostly wanted to be able to use what ever fule oct i wanted, and with that set up correctly no engine knocking running 91 oct!! it most defiantly put a smile on my face the fist time i got on the freeway with it installed, and generally feels allot more like my old 3 series as far as the transmission. Been on my truck for 2 1/2 weeks."

"After putting an upgraded exhaust and intake in, My truck was still in need of something else. It was this Edge programmer. If you are looking to increase your midrange torque, clean up your throttle lag and transmission. Then this is the upgrade you need. It was worth every penny, and it feels like I put a different motor and transmission in."

"The programmer installation was incredibly easy, one whole to drill and tap for the exhaust probe and rout the wires. The programmer performs as expected with the exception of changing the power levels. From the advertising I expected to be able to change power levels on the fly which is not the case. You must shut the truck off and reprogram the truck computer every time. This only takes a couple minutes but it is a hassle."

"Good product, really improved vehicle shifting and low end performance for everyday driving. So far, not much improvement in fuel economy but I can live with it because is just more enjoyable to drive. The only complaint I have is that I had to delay the installation because the kit contained the wrong pod for my vehicle (right color). I had to contact Edge to send the right one and when it came, I received a gray one that had to be painted. I guess I didn't really benefit much from the overnight shipping, but it is now installed, looks good, and performs well."

"Install was simple even for non mechanically inclined individuals such as myself. I noticed the throttle response immediately after installation. I can't attest to the gas savings yet because I can't seem to keep my foot of the pedal and it's winter so you have to warm up the truck before going anywhere. Autoanything had it sitting on my doorstep the next day after ordering it so kudos once again to them for their excellent shipping standards."
