"I programmed the Max Energy into my 2005 Dodge 3500 dually on Christmas day. On setting number 3, I noticed the power right away and, more importantly, a reduction in black smoke exiting the Banks exhaust. I regularly pull a 28' fifth wheel car hauler and am now getting about 2 mpg more than stock. Without pulling a trailer, I've noticed around a 3-4 mpg increase over stock. It's a no brainer...It will pay for itself in 3 months! Keep up the great work Hypertech!"

"This programmer was surprisingly small but had all the necessary hardware and software. I just connected to my computer and did an update over the internet. Then followed the instructions and loaded the programming. The entrie process took about 20 minutes. This is the second Hypertech programmer that I have purchased. The performance and MPG increases were very nice. MPG increased by about 2 to 3 MPG for my driving, mostly around town. I am seeing right around 17 to 19 MPG in town and 21 to 25 MPG on the highway."

"I was little unsure about this, but my friend has the earlier model and he likes and he is about to buy the latest version, so I did it. Man, it made some difference in terms of sound, unlimited supply of power, smoothness of gears shifting, I really like it. Gas mileage is better by about 2 miles per gal. I recommand this to others. By the way, I also have flowmaster and cold air intake installed, so you need to have all the right stuff to make it work right."

"I own a 2005 Dodge 3500 diesel. I purchased a diesel for personal use and as a towing vehicle because diesel fuel has always been the least expensive traditional fuel for a truck engine. Since the price of diesel fuel has surpassed the most expensive premiums, I am looking for ways to help offset the unreasonable cost. After reviewing several different tuning programmers I choose the Max Energy based on cost and simplicity. I am not a power, speed enthusiast; all I was looking for was something to make my engine run as efficiently as possible. I had never tried anything like this before and was concerned about trying anything so radical. After receiving my Max Energy I read the instruction manual several times and found it very straight forward so I decided it was time to go ahead. Programming is very easy if you follow the screen prompts, it seems almost impossible to make a mistake. I have only had the new program in for a short time and have tried two different stages. I feel it’s too soon to tell how much it will help but I have noticed that on the interstate at 70 mph I have dropped at least 100 RPM’s and shifting seems smoother. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. I found AutoAnthing and Hypertech very helpfull."

"I used my hypertech max energy programmer on my recent trip to TX from NH pulling my three horse trailer with LQ and appear to have increased mileage to 11.8 from 9.0. Have not confirmed this with filling of tank but if true it will pay for itself pretty quickly. I did have a problem with overheating but do not think it is related to the hypertech. All in all worth the price. I was not looking for extra power just mileage but the extra power is useful"

"The perfomance that was added to my pickup after the programmer was installed was minimal. I attribute this to the age of my GMC. I believe there are more configurations / options on the late model pickups. I do like the fact that I can use the programmer again (downloading new software) if I purchase a newer pickup."

"Overall, I am satisfied. However, I am a novice at modifications, so adjusting the shift points was a bit tricky. I did not get the real fuel milage gains that I thought I would get. But, I did get some improvement with power gains. I would say that this product combined with other power gaining products would be great. I am satisfied with the product and I am glad that I got it. I look forward to its proformance when I continue to modify the truck."

"The hypertech installed very easily, the pros: noticed increase in towing power and shift point & firmness.
the cons: have not noticed an increase in fuel economy while
towing or not towing. Also i wish it came with 3 save options for towing,offroad and highway.Chevy/Gm owners note: make sure you remove the fuse for the onstar system each time you make changes to your vehicles
computer through this type of software. performance per dollar could have been better but over all happy with the product."

"I have a 98 z28 with 224 comp cam, upgraded valve train, headers, true dual exhaust cut off before the rear axle, 3400 stall, KN+Lid, 8MM wires, port&polish throttle body and transmission valves. As you can see my car is a beast.
There is two program modes on this thing which I love. Non-rpg and RPG fuel settings. In other words, NON-rpg your car stinks and sucks gas, RPG you can't smell anything and it barely uses gas. I LOVE IT!!!!
It also fixed my tire size calibration because I'm using the new z06 rims/tire combo. Bigger than stock, my speedo was thrown off by 7 mph, and my transmission was shuttering. Not any more! This little miracle is fun to use too! It takes exactly 5 minutes to program (I timed it) and you will need to use it over and over again until you get the right setting for your vehicle.
It also reads Diagnositc codes and clears them. A great tool at a great price!
Autoanything was very helpful too! I couldn't find the programmer for my vehicle year, 98, so I called and talked to the staff. He was knowledgeable, and he actually drove a F body as well. I felt like I was at home!
A++++++ Autoanything, ILL BE BACK!!!!!"
