"I installed the Max Energy on my 99 Sierra 1500 5.3l. My truck has 35" tires and a 4 inch lift, dual exhaust, and cold air intake. I was previously getting about 11mpg hwy. After installing the regular fuel tuning, which took about 5 minutes, I have averaged 14mpg hwy, so I picked up 2.5-3 mpg. So I am very satisfied with my purchase in that respect. I have also noticed a gain in power. With cruise on it doens't need to kick into overdrive as often as before when driving into the wind. The one dissapointment that I have is that AutoAnything advertises that tire size can be adjusted up to 54 inches. This is incorrect. It only allows adjustments for tires up to 34 inches (confirmed by a Hypertech tech). So I was unable to properly calibrate my speedo for the 35's. Otherwise I am very happy with my purchase."

"This is the second HYPERTECH we have owned. Each one worked perfectly on the vehical it was purchased for. Auto anything is by far the best price around. Received it next day from auto anything. "Very pleased. Much better gains than the superchip. My friend has a superchip that will work on my truck so I tried it out before buying the hypertech. The hypertech works a lot better. The truck responds better and pulls harder with the hypertech. I am very pleased with my purchase."

"Install was easy. Plug it in and let it figure out what you have, then it may or may not need an update which is easy as plugging in your iPod. Then take it back, answer some questions, and let it update your ECU. Whole process took about 30 minutes. I was very impressed with the amount of low end torque I gained as well as improved power throughout the whole RPM range. I would estimate a gain about 40 ft-lbs of torque and 20-30 added horses. Plus the ability to read and clear DTC's is a huge help. A good value for the money, Autoanything was the best price around and had the quickest shipping. 97 Chevy C1500 4.3L V6"

"Works good. I'm getting 2 mpg in town better. don't know about highway yet. Good improvement in acceleration. I was a little dissapointed in what it allowed me to change on my specific vehicle. I was only allowed to adjust the rev limiter, top speed, and adjust for tire size. The directions said to remove the fuses for the radio, remote start, and onstar. There is no fuse for the remote start or onstar. Called the tech # and the guy said to remove radio and radio amp fuses. It wouldn't work at first, it just kept saying insufficient voltage, even after I left the battery on the charger. Called the tech # and they told me to update the tuner online. Worked good after that. Favorite feature is that it lets you choose what octane to use. Overall, good"

"Great buy, works great. don"t know if I gained any on fuel mileage just installed. Set power on level 2. Noticed more power trans shifts smoother. Easy to install but no smoke. I like that, because it means that the fuel and air are just right and not wasting any fuel,but still get the power you need!"

"i bought the new body style as soon as it came out, i love this truck but it was lacking the punch i was ecpecting it to have ..dont get me wrong . i love my truck but know with the hyper-tech, i am not limited !truck has 60,000 miles on it now and drives like a different vehicle with this product installed. haven"t checked the fuel economy"been busy passing everything on the road" but i have heard it will increase the in-town fuel mileage by a few miles a gallon. i was reluctant to pay that much money at first but know after driving in houston traffic ,i come home with a grin on my face..{priceless}"

"I was getting an average of about 16 miles a gallon on the highway when I put the max energy programmer on it changed my mileage to 21mpg the power increase is also considerably better I use my programmer on level 2. I would highly recommend this programmer for anyone with 7.3 liter diesel."

"super easy install, all prompts. i got an extra 2-21/2 m.p.g. on 87, stay away from the ethanol, even the 10% as that will cost you at least a half a mile per. plus plenty of power, i'm very happy"

"I used the programmer on my 2008 F-250 with the Powerstroke 6.4 The power increase and throttle response were outstanding. I tried all three levels and have decided to stay on level 2 for now. I have not seen any change in fuel mileage, but the truck is still very new. Time will tell. I was disappointed however that there are no adjustments available for transmission shift points or firmness."

"I received the programmer and immediately tried to use it. Had to go download the info to use it. So after all that I was in business. Programming was very straight forward. Noticeable difference in acceleration and noticeable difference in fuel economy at the 55-65mph range. A little high priced but I'm hoping the results will continue to impress me. Like the DTC reader very useful. I've had several cleared out by the programmer already."

"I purchased this to get more performance and fuel economy out of my truck. A side benefit was being able to adjust the tire size which has been bugging me as I knew my speedo was off. The programming was a piece of cake and was completed quickly. Of course right off the bat I went to Stage 3 to see the changes and was amazed at the difference. I could light the tires up in 2 and 4 wd! I went on a 2000 mile trip the day after and set the program to Stage 2 and indeed picked up a mpg or 2 and still had way more power than the factory program.I haven't tried Stage 1 yet. Overall, I'm very impressed with the unit and the performance & mpg gains I rec'd. The only thing I wish the unit did was offered more adjustability to individual aspects but figure if this was so I could mess something up bad. I would recommend this unit to anyone with a similar truck! I'm very pleased!!"

"I installed this on my 05 F250 6.0L Turbo Diesel and it has a very noticable improvement in mid to upper range power. I was really surprised the first time I mashed the go pedel! I have not driven it enough to know if it helps or hurts the fuel mileage, but is sure did crank up the power. Easiest and most economical way to add 100 Hp and 120 lb.ft of torque that I have ever seen."

8 MPG INCREASE IN TEXAS!!

"Bought primarily for speedometer adjustment for oversized tires and gas mileage. Before I put the chip on I got close to 16mpg with 35x12.50s on the highway. I got 24.5mpg driving 70 on stage 2 during a 400 mile trip while using the Hypertech programmer in conjunction with Lucas fuel additive. This is the best I have heard of for this type truck and I have several friends with other chips. I would recommend to anyone. I don't have any other mods done to the truck but can't wait to see what an exhaust and air intake will do for the MPG after I put those on. Buy this Programmer. The only negative is that it takes about 5 minutes to switch between programs and it can only be updated on computers using Windows XP or older versions of windows."
