"I installed the Hypertech on my 2001 Dodge 1500 4x4 with the 5.9 gas engine,in January 2008. So far I have not noticed any change in gas mileage, but I have noticed a difference in performance. Previously driving up hills the motor dogged down and had seemingly dead spot in acceleration which caused the motor to downshift more frequently, now it runs more consistently. Overall, I am pleased with the performance inhancement, and not impressed with the fuel savings, if any at all. Hopefully, warmer weather will allow the mpg to improve."

"I have a 2006 Duramax. I originally received a boost in horsepower and increased my mpg by 2mpg. However, after that, both flat-lined and I haven't seen the same smooth shifting nor have I continued to gain mpg. I'm hovering at about 1mpg better than without the MaxEnergy. The horsepower is still there, but the shifting is soft and slow. I'm going to change my fuel filter and see if that helps. I also plan to add an intake and exhaust which sure better make a difference."

"I really like the power options but I really liked that you can read TCB's and clear them. That is a great new feature. I was also surprised to find how much you can control an automatic transmision. You can control more than just the shift firmness like the previous Hypertech Tuners, you can control the shift points between each gear. I found that raising the shift point a little from 3-4 keeps my truck from shifting into overdrive to soon and lugging. Being able to correct for larger tires is also great. This a very handy tool that has more purposes than you might think you would use."

"I purchased the Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for my 2003 Ford F-250 Powerstroke. My main interest was to improve my fuel milage, however, I also wanted to improve my towing performance with my 11,000 lb 5th wheel camper.
I decided to install power level 3 first and give it a try. It took about 30 minutes to load and then I took it for a test drive. WOW! It certainly impressed me with the new found power it gave me on the off ramp. I have run two tanks of fuel through it and it has averaged about 18 mpg which was about the what I was getting before. I haven't had a chance to pull the camper yet, but I look forward to it. I have since loaded power level 1 just to see what the milage will average with that setting. I am on my first tank and my trip computer is setting on 21 mpg. I know this will be lower actually, but so far it seems it will help out with my 60 mile roundtrip every day to work.
So far call me..Hyper-satisfied! Great product and easy to install."

"I programmed the Max Energy into my 2005 Dodge 3500 dually on Christmas day. On setting number 3, I noticed the power right away and, more importantly, a reduction in black smoke exiting the Banks exhaust. I regularly pull a 28' fifth wheel car hauler and am now getting about 2 mpg more than stock. Without pulling a trailer, I've noticed around a 3-4 mpg increase over stock. It's a no brainer...It will pay for itself in 3 months! Keep up the great work Hypertech!"

"This programmer was surprisingly small but had all the necessary hardware and software. I just connected to my computer and did an update over the internet. Then followed the instructions and loaded the programming. The entrie process took about 20 minutes. This is the second Hypertech programmer that I have purchased. The performance and MPG increases were very nice. MPG increased by about 2 to 3 MPG for my driving, mostly around town. I am seeing right around 17 to 19 MPG in town and 21 to 25 MPG on the highway."

"I was little unsure about this, but my friend has the earlier model and he likes and he is about to buy the latest version, so I did it. Man, it made some difference in terms of sound, unlimited supply of power, smoothness of gears shifting, I really like it. Gas mileage is better by about 2 miles per gal. I recommand this to others. By the way, I also have flowmaster and cold air intake installed, so you need to have all the right stuff to make it work right."

"I own a 2005 Dodge 3500 diesel. I purchased a diesel for personal use and as a towing vehicle because diesel fuel has always been the least expensive traditional fuel for a truck engine. Since the price of diesel fuel has surpassed the most expensive premiums, I am looking for ways to help offset the unreasonable cost. After reviewing several different tuning programmers I choose the Max Energy based on cost and simplicity. I am not a power, speed enthusiast; all I was looking for was something to make my engine run as efficiently as possible. I had never tried anything like this before and was concerned about trying anything so radical. After receiving my Max Energy I read the instruction manual several times and found it very straight forward so I decided it was time to go ahead. Programming is very easy if you follow the screen prompts, it seems almost impossible to make a mistake. I have only had the new program in for a short time and have tried two different stages. I feel it’s too soon to tell how much it will help but I have noticed that on the interstate at 70 mph I have dropped at least 100 RPM’s and shifting seems smoother. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. I found AutoAnthing and Hypertech very helpfull."
