"man o man at first it didnt wanna work but i updated on the superchips.com page and i got to say you can really feel the power before it would peel about 3 trucks length but now i peeled out about 7 or 8 trucks and thats because i let go of the pedel man as soon as u step on the gas the back sits down i recomanded it ill be beating on chevys vortex hemi rams and with out a question fords and autoanything is the cheapest place to get it"

"I installed the 91 octane performance tune in my '05 Pathfinder. WOW, what a difference! There was no WOT restriction removal option as I guess Pathys come from the factory without the WOT restriction. Anyway, it's like an entirely new vehicle!"

"I love the CORTEX I installed it in my 07 TAHOE I currently have dual MAGNAFLOW and the K&N cold air and AIR RAID throtle body spacer and still felt I needed some more. My wife and I noticed the difference like right now, I did hear some ringing from the engine but went away after a couple of days. The only down fall is that all of my PC's @ home are APPLE and I am unavailable to update the programer. I have e-mailed SUPERCHIPS and have yet to hear from them. I still recommend the CORTEX to any one. I just order one more for my wife's 03 DENALI."

"I have an 07 Nissan Frontier with K&N intake, Banks monster flow exhaust, and the cortex programmer works great with both. It takes minutes to install and I've gotten 5 mpgs better. A little expensive but it works great in combination."

"First the cortex is easy to install program. I installed the fuel saver program and have gotten around 4 to 5 MPG more on the road. As far as power, plenty of that, at first I didn't think it was up but believe me it was there. I also tow a 14,000 LB 5th wheel I went from 10.5 to 15 mpg in tow mode. Not bad. I'm happy with the Cortex but think there could be a few more programs to chose from."

"The performance program does just what i expected, however the Milage XS program that came on the cortex programer actually decreased my milage by 1.4 mpg(about 30 miles per tank of gas). I have not tried the towing program yet"

"The programming took a little longer than I thought it would. After saving the stock setting it was easy. I tuned the motor for 91 Octane, downloaded the performance tune and the performance shift and that was it. Throttle responce is incredible and when I punched it to the floor I really got put back in my seat. Kicked it into passing gear and acceleration is just awesome. After I did the programming I also installed a cold ait intake which made it just that much sweeter. My Hemi was hot before but now it's breathing fire. Yahoo..."

"I use my 2006 Nissan Xterra to tow a 24' travel trailer and while the Xterra performs superbly, it is always nice to have a bit more torque on tap. Superchips Cortex allowed me to "Re-tune" the Xterra's ECU to allow more low and midrange power for towing, power you definitly feel! The reason I purchased the Cortex over other brands was Superchips quality and the fact Superchips backs up their product with a 2 year powertrain warrenty for the vehicle being retuned!! Power/Ease of use/Quality/Warranty, Superchips has it all!!"

"Loaded the performance tune on a bone stock truck, made a big difference. It feels more alive. Gas mileage is a little better but that's not why I bought it. Truck also seems to run a little smoother as well. Able to disable the WOT restriction as well."

"Programmer was ordered on a Friday and recieved the following Monday, Installed in two minutes, tried out the performance setting and not so noticable power but i did notice my fuel gauge going down quick, switched to 87 octane setting and was better satisfied with this setting, as it saved fuel and added a SMALL amount of power, hopefully it can be updated online to more power, should have purchased a K&N or another performance mod before this. was expecting more. but overall was OK. 2008 Chevy Silverado CrewCab 5.3 engine"

"It gave me more power the 4.8 has no trouble layin rubber but even when set on mileage tune I now get 15 miles a gallon instead of 19 stock."

Use truck for towing small toy hauler

"I have a 1500 4.8L and would max out at about 55 pulling an 18ft toy hauler. I can now go 65 to 70 but went down from 14mpg to 8mpg in tow mode. Needless to say I will be looking for a larger truck before next season but in the mean time the Super chip has helped some."

"I wanted to get a little more towing power out of my Tahoe. I pull a 22 foot boat on the weekends, and needed some extra ummph. With a cold air intake, MAF, and Gibson cat back, I needed to remap the ECM. I choose the Cortex because of all the features. It really woke up the truck, and it's super easy to use. Just plug it in and follow the prompts. The only thing I don't like, is that the clock on the radio needs to be reset after installing the new map. But, I can live with that. Auot Anything has the best prices on the these devices. I highly recommend it."

"1. K&N Cold Air Package 2. Doug Thorley Shorty Headers 3. Factory Cat Back Dual Exhaust System (All 3 items are Carb. legal) These 3 items alone gave the 6.0L the needed breathing. Now add a 4.10 rear end for kicks. Finally, performance tune with the Cortex. Happy Toyota Tundra hunting!"

"I own a 2008 Nissan Titan LE Crew Cab 2x4 dropped with 20's,Volant CAI and a Flowmaster CatBack exhaust. The truck was already quick, but the superchips tuner made it a killer. I have already surprised a 300c 5.7 and a 350Z by not only keeping up them, but smoking the Chrysler. I do not know who was more shocked the 300c driver or me. Anyone who owns a Titan has to buy one. Thanks guys."

"Where else can you set you pick up to run of 91 oct. Well 93 most places don't have 91. But you create a lot more power that way. You're burning cleaner and more efficiently which is was truly allows the programmer to be such a boost. I don't recommend everyone trying this but on performance mode I can chirp my tires in 3rd, something that was not an option before this mod. I have K&N CAI, DT Header, SuperChip, and a custom exhaust with high flow cats. Im quite happy with the way the Superchip really compliment all other mods."
