    Description

Whether you're fully loaded with gravel or pulling a 5th wheel through the Colorado Rockies, your stock diesel can get winded pretty quick. And nothing's worse than chugging up a hill feeling like you have a 4-banger under the hood of your heavy-duty. Kiss the days of underpowered-motoring goodbye-the Banks EconoMind is custom-tuned for more muscular towing.

No matter the load, your EconoMind injects the ideal amount of oomph. 6 pre-set power levels let you adjust on-the-fly; just twist the in-cab switch to dial-in the power. Or, with the optional Banks IQ Dashboard PC, you get total control over your EconoMind.

Best of all, your Banks EconoMind has integrated safety features to keep your motor from blowing its stack. The exclusive AutoRate and ActiveSafety features defend against over-exertion and excessive strain, without stifling performance. 2-year warranty.

Thanks to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act: US Code – Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312, your vehicle’s factory warranty is protected by law when you add aftermarket parts.  Details

At first I wasn't sure if it really was working cause I couldn't really see big changes but after about a month I noticed the mpg gains. The power increase was quite amazing too. I feel this is a great product and as they say" you get what you pay for ". Already thinking about upgrading to the IQ.

I frequently tow an 11k fifth wheel camper during the summer months. My previous tuner was the DiabloSport Predator set @ 40hp, note I have an aftermarket intake and exhaust. After towing with my new Economind/IQ setup for several thousand miles I can honestly say I've experienced noticable improvements. The best has been with observed fuel economy...when set at level 2 on the Banks system I have seen a consistent 1-2mpg increase in towing mileage (was 9-10mpg now 11-12.5mpg hand-calculated). I recently pulled in a hot, heavy crosswind and still achieved 10.5mpg! I have noticed that the DIC mileage display is quite accurate now as well, and I find that handy. Power delivery with the Banks is smoother than my old tuner and w/ much less smoke. The IQ display has really enhanced my towing experience, too. I can track digital engine temp more accurately than with the stock analog gauge. In OD going up a large hill I see about 16lbs boost, and EGT no higher than 1150deg. Downshifting produces up to 26lbs boost with similar EGT readings. Engine temp varys from 184-215deg and the engine fan cycles much less now. It's comforting to know how safe this tuner is when towing in hot & hilly conditions. Banks produced a quality product with the Economind and yes I would recommend it to others.

All the gauges and gadgets that Banks says come pre-installed on the iQ don't! And after 4 days they still haven't answered my e-mail.

I pulled my 10,000 pound trailer for thr first time with the Ottominn6. It did a really good job. The power was just what I wanted, and the increase in mileage was welcome also.
