It was a good buy for me. Had the car for 2 months and it seems like something was missing. Seemed slow. Plugged in the T-1000 uploaded factory setting into it. Updated it. Put back in the car, Set for 91 octane preset. Set throttle boost to max. Set Trans. for firm shifts. Car is fun to drive again. Get a K/N 63 air charger intake also to maximize performance makes the TUNE THAT MUCH BETTER.

You have to be computer literate to program the unit before you can use it. When I tried to set up the gauge display the unit stopped working. I am now in the process of having to send it back for repair at my expense .

The DiabloSport Trinity T-1000 Programmer (DST) is a great product. One reason why I find this tool useful is because I can configure my settings to how I WANT my vehicle to perform. I can adjust the shift firmness, choose between Tunes for my car at anytime. The DST helps me navigate my car's computer and shows me different characteristics that the car has and that I can change. Overall, I am a beginner when it comes to "car knowledge".

The Trinity met all of my expectations. The data viewer is easy to use and maps the data out in an easy to read format. I was able to use the data to fine tune the 93 octane tune to work with the modifications I have made. Also, The throttle booster provides a much better response especially for initial acceleration. I did have a couple of questoins when I first got the device so I contacted support. They were very quick to respond and very helpful.

it made a difference i used to CAI 91 octane program. Ive never used one of these before so it was a little intimidating. when i had it hooked up to my computer i did the demo and had to call diablosport and unmarry it. so i was able to redo it to my car...Also im learning as i go how to change different paremeters..since i use about 6 gallons a gas a day driving back and forth to work. i want to try out the gas milage setting,s.

While I didn't see huge gains on my Silverado, it did do exactly what I wanted/expected. The ability to turn off the annoying DOD (4 cyl mode) system was the main reason I made the purchase. With a catback exhaust, the vibration in 4 cyl was unbearable. I was forced to drive in 'M' ans avoid 6th, but owt I have the smooth purring V8 at all speeds and its much more enjoyable to drive. I played around with the different canned tunes and could tell the difference between them, especially in WOT

Does This Void Warranty On A New Vehicle?
Answered by Nathan S. — Mar 28, 2013 11:25 AM
Hi, In short, no. According to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty of your vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part was the cause or contributed to the failure of the vehicle (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)). It’s always best to work with a performance-oriented dealership, but no matter who you choose, you’re protected by the law.

1987 Lincoln Mark VII
1 Answer
I have a 1987 Lincoln MKVII the origional engine was a 5.0 litr HO I have now made it a 331 Stroker with mass air and a Vortec 12LB supercharger. I have a hard time getting it to idle as the cam is high lift. Can you suggest any module you sell to help here?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 21, 2013 1:14 PM
Hi Ron, Computer wizardry won't get around the laws of vacuum and airflow unfortunately. Your idle issue is most likely due to your cam choice. High lift and overlap on a cam shaft requires you to set your idle speed to 1200rpm and higher in many cases. Couple extremely inefficient low RPM running with a supercharger that's pushing some of the fuel mix out of the cylinders while both valves are hanging open and you end up with a motor that runs like a lawn mower until it hits 3k rpm. A more cost friendly solution that will run you a few hundred bucks vs. a few grand, will make more power at a usable RPM and will idle, is a camshaft with less overlap and a smaller supercharger pulley.

Will this do anything for the 2012 6 cyl ?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 11, 2013 7:15 AM
Hi, Unfortunately, the Diablosport Trinity T-1000 doesn't support the Challenger V6 application at the moment. Tuner manufacturers have been trying to crack Chrysler's programming codes since 2011 and have finally succeeded in unlocking the most requested engine choice: the HEMI. With this achievement, other Challenger engine choices will soon follow so stay tuned. In the mean time, you can certainly benefit from a Cold Air Intake. http://www.autoanything.com/air-intakes/61A1916A0A0.aspx

Is this legal to use in California, I looked at a Jet V-Force Plus Power Control Module for my 2002 Honda CR-V and is says that it is illegal to use on pollution controlled vehicles in California. I do not live in California, but since I am still in highschool, there is a very good chance that I may end up in California due to job opportunities, and I do not want to be illegal. Thank you...
Answered by Nathan S. — Nov 05, 2012 2:18 PM
Sorry, its not CARB legal. You could however run a superchips flashpaq tuner.

How different are the diablosport tunes from the one that vcame with my car?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jun 29, 2012 8:27 AM
The tunes that came with your car from the factory are designed for general driving conditions by everyday day drivers. They offer a a compromise between ultimate performance and ultimate economy. The aftermarket tunes are just the opposite. You can tune for maximum economy, maximum performance, optimized towing, etc. And, you can always set it back to stock for your daily commute if you like

Yes, it’s really easy. Simply plug the programmer into the OBDII port below the steering column. The screen will then light up and walk you through the tuning process. You’ll be peeling pavement in less than 15 minutes!

I am far from a know-it-all gearhead, but your product sparked my interest. If I order this product will be left holding the bag when I try to program it, or is it user friendy? is there someone to call when I have questions....and believe me I will have questions. will it address the lagging transmission issue that plagues the Pontiac G8 GT.
Answered by Nathan S. — May 15, 2012 3:35 PM 1985 BMW 5-Series
You really picked an amazing product for you G8. It is user friendly with excellent instructions and even better results. Most newer GM vehicles use a drive by wire system to control engine output instead of the old cable hooked to the gas pedal. While this is a great safety and emissions reducing feature, it gives you horrible throttle response by being too conservative with engine power. The DiabloSport Trinity Programmer corrects the factory program, so say goodbye to that irritating delay in throttle response.
