Finally, a programmer that delivers maximum power for sport compacts—and from a trusted name! The Hypertech Max Energy Sport is specifically developed for import vehicles and designed to extract every bit of energy from those high-revving, low-displacement engines.
Programmed for efficiency, the Max Energy Sport delivers maximum MPGs at part throttle and insane power gains when running wide-open. By optimizing every drop of fuel, the Sport delivers up to 10 extra ponies and 10 ft lbs of extra torque.
And, if you’re running a performance exhaust and/or intake, the Sport allows rev limiter adjustments (most models) to make the most of your mods. It’s just like a custom dyno tune—only this takes minutes to install and costs way less than dyno time. Plus, you can store and return to the factory tune in minutes.
With a garage full of features, from Top-Speed Limiter and Octane Tuning to Shift Points and Diagnostics, this is the only programmer for your sport compact. Plus, Hypertech backs your Max Energy Sport Tuner with a Lifetime Warranty.

This was a good purchase for my 2007 Mazda 6i. It took a while to figure out the program but once I did, I felt a good difference in performance. Great value so far. I'm not too sure about better mpgs yet either.

The claim of +66 HP is a bit misleading, when in fact the true HP gain is only +10 over the max stock HP. Having said that, it's still a worthwhile product due to the vastly improved throttle response and drivability. And the removal of the annoying driveline-protecting delay of power during shifts makes this programmer worth every penny. As an added bonus, I've seen an improvement of 0.5 MPG in AVG fuel economy in the two weeks I've used it, and with premium gas prices as high as they are, every little bit helps.

After installing the disk set-up which was quick, the steps to download current information was really simple. Then the hook-up to the car and following instructions was as straight forward and as easy as the web site explains. The results will not overwhelm you, but are noticeable. My car was slightly quicker (1st and 2nd gear) and gear transitions a little smoother. Can't say I noticed an improvement in gas mileage just yet. Lastly, I unlocked the top speed which allowed my car to get to higher speeds with significantly less effort. Overall, I was pleased with the results. Next up, air intake maybe?

The hypertech programer really gave me what I was looking for it gave my Mazda Speed a better 1st and 2nd gear. Meaning the power really did not come on until you got to third gear but now with the hypertech it feels just right great job.

Installation on my 2003 Nissan 350z was simple. After installation, throttle response seems quicker and fuel mileage seems better. Was a little surprised that only four changes were possible, and also that no adjustments for add-ons (intake, plenum spacer, HFC, headers, exhaust) were possible -- makes me think the A/F mixture will be too lean and engine failure may be in the offing. . .

I used this to reprogram a 2007 Mazdaspeed3. I was amazed at the difference it made in the way the car drives. It completely changed the character of the car in a very positive way. It made me wonder why it didn't come this way from the factory and I was pleased with the car's performance before the flash. I can't imagine receiving these types of performance gains for the price in any other way. Great job, Hypertech.

Received my programmer a few weeks ago and installed on my G37S as soon as I got home. Very easy to use, just follow the directions. On-screen prompts pretty much make it idiot-proof. I did notice there seemed to be a slight power increase and torque increase. Wasn't huge but helped. Will probably soon be installing a Stillen Gen 3 Intake to make additional gains.

What if I don't like the new tune, is it easy to change back to stock?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jun 28, 2012 11:06 AM
It's really easy. Hypertech saves and stores your stock tune from the factory when you upload the custom tune. So, when you want to go back to stock, just plug it in and follow the prompts.
