Description

Finally, a programmer that delivers maximum power for sport compacts—and from a trusted name! The Hypertech Max Energy Sport is specifically developed for import vehicles and designed to extract every bit of energy from those high-revving, low-displacement engines.

Programmed for efficiency, the Max Energy Sport delivers maximum MPGs at part throttle and insane power gains when running wide-open. By optimizing every drop of fuel, the Sport delivers up to 10 extra ponies and 10 ft lbs of extra torque.

And, if you’re running a performance exhaust and/or intake, the Sport allows rev limiter adjustments (most models) to make the most of your mods. It’s just like a custom dyno tune—only this takes minutes to install and costs way less than dyno time. Plus, you can store and return to the factory tune in minutes.

With a garage full of features, from Top-Speed Limiter and Octane Tuning to Shift Points and Diagnostics, this is the only programmer for your sport compact. Plus, Hypertech backs your Max Energy Sport Tuner with a Lifetime Warranty.

Notes

  • Flex Fuel Vehicles: fueling with E85 is not recommended in conjunction with your Hypertech unit. Burning E85 reduces efficiency and power compared to using gas, which nullifies the effect of Hypertech's programming.
  • See what the Max Energy Sport can do for your sport compact! Select your vehicle above for a specific list of the adjustments available in your Max Energy Sport. Rev limiter, tire size, transmission and fuel octane adjustment capabilities vary by model.
  • Software Compatibility: Hypertech Max Energy Programmer is compatable with Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows XP; however, it is not compatible with Macs.

Installation on my 2003 Nissan 350z was simple. After installation, throttle response seems quicker and fuel mileage seems better. Was a little surprised that only four changes were possible, and also that no adjustments for add-ons (intake, plenum spacer, HFC, headers, exhaust) were possible -- makes me think the A/F mixture will be too lean and engine failure may be in the offing. . .

I used this to reprogram a 2007 Mazdaspeed3. I was amazed at the difference it made in the way the car drives. It completely changed the character of the car in a very positive way. It made me wonder why it didn't come this way from the factory and I was pleased with the car's performance before the flash. I can't imagine receiving these types of performance gains for the price in any other way. Great job, Hypertech.

Received my programmer a few weeks ago and installed on my G37S as soon as I got home. Very easy to use, just follow the directions. On-screen prompts pretty much make it idiot-proof. I did notice there seemed to be a slight power increase and torque increase. Wasn't huge but helped. Will probably soon be installing a Stillen Gen 3 Intake to make additional gains.

I was trying to decide between this model and a Cobb AP model. This model is more designed for somenoe who wants to flash The ECU, but, isn't looking to do any fine tuning. Just plug/play/done. That is what I wanted and it worked great. I notice a nice HP gain and better performance in 1st and 2nd gear. Overall, I am very happy with it. If you need fine tuning and lots of maps to chose from, the Cobb model is better suited for you, but, you will pay $200 more.

I am very satisfied with this product! It works as advertised. Although, it only allows either the regular or premium gas tune, the top speed limiter, and you can raise the fuel cutoff by 500 RPM. I was hoping there would be a setting to adjust shift firmness and shifting points. The plastic housing on the programmer looks cheap but I don't care about that when I'm driving my car. When I first plugged the programmer into my diagnostic port it read my ECU for 30 minutes after which I got a message "Cal Not Found". I installed the provided disk on my computer and updated the software for it. Then I downloaded the latest Calibration for my car. Went back out to my car and the programming process only took a few minutes. I notice the most improvement in low end torque and the engine feels more crisp all the way to fuel cutoff. I have several other mods on my car including exhaust and intake and it feels like it adds around 10 hp. I'm guessing gas mileage increase is around 1-2 mpg. I haven't had it installed long enough to get a good comparison.
