Think you need to spend thousands of dollars to get in touch with your engine’s parameters? Think again! The Edge Insight CS and CTS monitors are the high-tech, standalone monitors which install right into your OBD-II port for immediate SAE data.
Choose between a full-color, high-resolution 2.4” button-controlled screen or a full-color, high-resolution 4.3” touch screen monitor. Both screens view up to 8 different engine parameters at a time. And, you can view outputs in numeric or analog style. However, your vehicle’s year, make and model determine which parameters are available.
The Edge Insight’s built-in digital gauge display scan tool captures and records information such as diagnostic trouble codes, peak speeds, RPMS and performance times, like 0-60 or quarter-mile times. Best yet, your Insight CS or CTS monitor is backed with a 1-year warranty.

I purchased the Edge Insight CTS because it is capable of supporting selectable both add-on performance programs and accessories. Installed the system on GMC 3500 with Duramax diesel. Also installed an Edge EGT accessory. Installation of CTS unit was very easy; EGT accessory took some time to install (as expected). I am very pleased with system appearance and performance. Lots of user selectable displays and options.

Easy to use set up and install. Very easy to read and great display. I bought it to keep an eye on my ECT's and EOT's on my 6.0 Powerstroke and it has already saved me money. Just had truck put in shop. I had rather spend $1400 than $5000. The CS is worth every penny!

Excellent Quality. Displays exhaust temps from 3 different points in the exhaust stream on new rams. Provides the info you need to monitor the particulate filter for those that idle or temps for those who run at 100%. Only con is power on gets confused with remote start.

I love the display of the unit. My only real complaint is when I unplug it from the truck it always asks me what make of truck it is and is the key in the on position, but only after I unplug and replug it in. If I leave it in the truck it just starts up like normal. Even though I keep taking it out of the truck it keeps my PIDS and custom background saved.

What a great product for the people who want to REALLY get into tweaking their rides. VERY easy install, awesome to customize, and the display IS AWESOME!. Just what I need and I have yet to REALLY utilize the 0-60 & 1/4 mile feature (hehehe)....fun fun fun!

I had an edge programmer in my last truck (09 K-3500 Dually) and was happy that I was able to program for more power but was unable to view very much data, which is why i purchased the CTS. This thing is awsome! You can change tire size, view DTC's, clear codes and customize the screen to view up to 9 different perameters. Highly suggest one of these if you want to see whats going on with your engine or Diesel regen system.

I want to know if I could use this on my car. All the reviews I see are for trucks. I also want to know if I could use it on other vehicles if I purchase it. I need to make sure it is something I can use on other cars too.

Hi, Sure, you can monitor the vitals in any OBDII equipped ride (1998 and up). Keep in mind the Edge Monitor won't add any performance gains, it's just there to display sensor data.

I see that this is a great Engine Monitoring System but does it also have the ability to change chip parameters so as to increase HP and Torque? And like wise does it allow me to lean out the fuel when going for a more fuel efficient run. I am looking for a product that will allow both . I am in a 2008 Toyota RAV4 Sport that comes out with 270 hp and on long road trips I can easily exceed 28mpg. I have the best of both and would like to have more of both. I love my car and would love to love it more now that it is all mine and I am in physical condition where I can do some work on the car. Thanks to all. PS I currently use a ScanGuage II that I have used with great satisfaction since I bought the car in 2008

Will this monitor be able to monitor the boost pressure of an aftermarket supercharger? i have a 2003 Ford F-150 with a 5.4L V8 and a 8-9 PSI ProCharger supercharger.

The Edge Insight will display the information available to it and will vary depending on the vehicle. If your truck did not originally come with forced induction and the means to monitor boost pressure with a combination of sensor data and programming, the Edge Insight Monitor will not display boost pressure.

I want to know which product will alow me to delete my check engine light after removing my egr valve?
Answered by Nathan S. — May 07, 2012 10:54 AM 1996 Dodge Dakota
Usually programmers will function with all emissions equipment in place and wont give you the option to clear check engine lights once components are removed. Most states frown upon removal of emission equipment unless your vehicle is being used for offroad use only. You could have a shop custom tune your truck to eliminate the EGR but it can be expensive and potentially illegal, so double check your state laws before doing so.

will this unit display the odometer reading?
Answered by Justin G — Mar 28, 2012 10:08 PM
It does have that ability but you have to put in the odometer reading and it will start from there and allows for modified tire and gear change.
