So I bought this tuner not knowing anything bout it. I was worried I might not know how to properly install tunes and mesure paeameters. Well after a while of research I found out how to installl tunes I tried the 87 octane tune. Right away I felt a huge difference my truck was awake my acceleration was different more responsive. So then I did more reseach found a guy by the name of lew or diablew tunes predator gives u the option to install custom tunes and diablo.com gives u the information you need to find people that can make a custom tune for ur car/truck. I found lew won't go into much detail but he tuned my truck with balls. There is so much thing u can do with this tuner if u have mods on ur truck a custom tune is for you. Or even stock vehicles can enjoy this great product.

While I am still learning how to set my own program, the device was easy to set up and the stock performance set up that came on the device provided a noticeable difference in the shifting and overall performance of my Vette.

This is a complete diagnostic tool that I have used numerous times since I bought it. It has more than paid for itself in just the 2 months that I have had it so far. My truck was a project and I needed to do several repairs to it to in order to make it a reliable daily driver. Not only has this tool helped me troubleshoot problems with the truck, it has made the truck much more enjoyable to drive with the 87 octane tune. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone that has a vehicle that fits this tool. I haven't even gotten around to using it for data logging to get ready for a custom tune yet. This is a great addition to my truck.

Installed the 87 octane on my 8.1 Silverado and it really came alive. The truck is much smoother and more powerful now. Milage improved about 1 mpg on the first tank so far too. Can't wait to try the other options when I get time!

Installation on my silverado took about half hour. For people not sure in the engine compartment it comes with a manual with pictures specific to your vehicle. It has added about 1-2 mpg on average and adds a deeper and beastly sounding tone around 2300rpm. It did add a small amount of throttle response as well. It is pricy as CAI's go, but it is good quality so I dont mind paying it. Overall, very satisfied with this product.

This thing was simple to plug and play. I noticed gains in everything. Ive got a 6" lift and 35" tires and this is my first power adder an now I can finally pull out into traffic with out worrying about getting rearended. There are so many things that you can adjust and tweak that I don't even know some of the stuff (yet). I would highly recommend this to anybody wanting any type of gains, but becareful of the performance tuner cause it will literally through you in the back of your seat.

2004 Volkswagen Jetta

I have a 2004 VW Jetta, TDI. I am looking for a "chip" to enhance mpg and performance. In the past, I had a "reporgramer" for a Ford, F-250 Power Stroke that made an amazing difference. I just plugged it into the diagnostic port under the steering wheel and reset the engine program. Is there anything like that available for the Jetta?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 09, 2013 9:03 AM
Hi, The F-250 has a ton of unrealized horsepower locked in it from the factory that tuners certainly take advantage of. We expect to offer tuners for TDI applications that provide noticeable gains in power in the near future, so stay tuned.
