The power gained was barely noticable, if any at all. It does improve fuel milage 1.5-2 mpg If I drive easy, but if I excellarate heavy alot, It does not improve mpg comparing to excellarating heavy alot without the module

I was EXTREMELY surprised a that this chip was able to do. You that have dodge dakotas know exactly how sluggish they are on the starting line and especially while shifting gears. I gotta say, I IMMEDIATELY noticed a difference in my V6 3.9. I have no other modifications to the truck and I noted that the truck shifted smoother, got up to speed with less sluggishness, and, believe it or not, the exhaust is quieter, meaning a much quieter ride inside the cabin, especially on the highway. VERY impressed! And not, this is not a "balls to the wall" performance gain, but it's something you WILL notice. As far as gas mileage, I have been tracking my MPG with a phone app for over 7 months now. Once I put the chip in, I was depressed when I saw only a .5 mpg increase in my gas mileage. I was expecting 1 or 2. (And honestly, I took a long highway trip that week as well, so that number could have been off because of that.) BUT, since it didn't USE any more fuel, I am happy. It is up to you to decide if you want to get this for performance. I'm keeping it, the added luxury and smoother ride is well worth the investment.

this module is pretty good, i haven't noticed any increase in mpg yet, but i have been a little heavy footed. But the throttle response has really increased

Installed easy enough but you should take the breather box off before you try to install then work it back on around the chip. Will save you many a knuckle and quite a bit of time. Man it really gave my dakota a kick.

I put oversized tires on my already tired and underpowered '96 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9L V6, 5sp manual trans, with 165,000 miles on all of it, and lost a lot more power. The truck has had no major work done to it. I have a turboflow muffler on it and that is the extent of performance upgrades. I put the statge 1 Jet chip to gain back some of the power I lost with the oversized tires and to help my fuel economy, as the truck has ALWAYS seemed a little shallow on power. This chip did the trick. Now even with 165,000mi on the engine and oversized tires I can pull a 18ft flatbed trailer full of hay and horse stall panels and still pass people with ease! I could not believe it. I could barely pass with no trailer before! This chip is well worth it! I got over 14mpg doing 65mph pulling uphill the whole way! YEAH!

No its not explosive power, but it does improve the over all feel of the truck. I think it was a great upgrade for my truck. It did make my 0-60 alot quicker for getting on highways and what not but to step into it on the roll not that impresive. I did like how it gives you the option of running regular or premiem fuel, of corse I choose premeim for best results of power but if your wanting just some better MPG stay with the low octain. Im working on an over all MPG now sorry I couldn't reply on that subject. And yes I am pleased with this product.

My main reason for buying a Jet chip was because I tow a large pop-up camper with my Dodge Dakota. I needed just a little more "oomph" to get up some hills, the chip made the difference!!
