Before anything - go to website and update the programmer... Didn't work on my F150 - an error code + call tech....Online follow-up - they want you to send them the unit for updates... It did however work as described for my GT. Site does not explain how to do multi cars while storing the stock settings.

I was happy with the product. It gave me extra torque and horse power. Even though I was hoping it would be more power, it was still a big difference.

I've noticed an increase in mpg of about 2-3% in the Mileage XS Saver programming with my truck which translates to about 20 miles per tank more than the stock program. I will say that the 87 Octane program has noticeable changes over the stock program. My truck has the 5.4L with the 3.73 rear end. I am running a K&N cold-air intake with an Airaid PowerAid throttle body spacer. In the Performance program I have trouble keeping my foot out of the accelerator because of the increases!

I haven't noticed much for mileage difference , but changing the transmission shift points has made a big difference in drivability. I haven't much time to play with it much, but well satisfied so far.

Although the Cortex did do the things I wanted it for it also did things I didn't want it to do. For one, my truck doesn't show the gear selector on the dash anymore. I had to reset my average miles per gallon gauge because it would go from 18mpg all the way up to 38.3mpg. I don't mean to sound like an ... but when u have a new truck u want it to stay working in normal ways. Also when u spend $400 on a brand name product you expect it to work flawlessly. I've had 3 Flashpacks that have been fine

I purchased this for my new F150 and it really did give it the extra edge that I wanted. The midrange power is great. I also love the fact that you can purchase another program for the unit and do an additional vehicle. I plan to do that and use it on my 2011 Mustang GT for the spring. Great Product!
