After swapping the rear end to a higher gear ratio, I took my truck to the local Chevy dealer to have the speedometer calibrated. They told me that they did not have the codes needed to reprogram to reprogram my truck and that they could no longer get the code. After plugging this little programmer into my computer and downloading the codes it needed, I had my speedometer calibrated in less than 10 minutes.

I just put a 6 inch lift and 35 inch tires on my 2500HD truck and needed to correct my speedometer. It was simple process that went smoothly once I downloaded the update for my truck. The calibration was right on....had a police friend use his radar gun at 30mph and it was totally accurate. Good purchase!

I lifted my truck and put bigger tires on it so I needed to adjust my speedometer and this works perfectly, and the part that scans codes and clears codes work great also.

Very satisfied. The Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator arrived quickly and was very easy to use. The instructions were clear and walked me through the programming process smoothly. I tracked my speedometer accuracy with my GPS and before calibrating it it was off 15%, which meant I was traveling 69 mph when my speedometer dispayed 60 mph. After programming with the Hypertech, the speedometer is spot-on. I can also easily reprogram when I install my smaller diameter winter tires.

Did not perform all functions as advertised. I researched this product at every web source possible, including Mfr website. All of the product descriptions say Tire Size AND Gear Ratio can be adjusted. This was not the case for my vehicle, only the Tire Size was programmable. This may be a limitation with my vehicle, but the product info should provide this info. Ultimately I was able to calibrate my speedometer but had to compensate the Tire Size hugely because Gear Ratio was not adjustable

Works well to fix speedometer. However, it does not fix the transmission speed on Allison transmission so shift points are still incorrect which effects towing. Be careful if you have an aftermarket OnStar module for your aftermarket radio. Disconnect battery before pulling radio fuse or module will fry. Also make sure you turn off automatic daytime headlights or unit will not load program. I would have given five stars if trans calibration would have worked.

As easy as it looks I plugged it in and the first thing it told me was I need to update it for my vehicle. I am very busy chasing kids around and work. I was very dissatisfied after giving my vehicle info and did not work. When I find some time to get it updated I will use it.
