So it works great, but required trying different tire heights to get it right. First I compared speeds using my hand held GPS unit and it was off after entering the manufacturer spec of my tire. I learned this is not the height I should use, but rather the height of the tire measured from the ground to top of tire with weight of the vehicle on it. My tire according to the manufacturer measures 33.98", however with the weight of the truck on it, it actually measures just under 33".

I bought this to fix my speedometer on my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. I was running 37" tires and went to 35" tires to fit a spare under the truck. I couldnt adjust my speedometer with EFI Live that I already had, so i bought this. It worked perfectly without having to reset the truck to stock. It took me a while to get the truck perfectly calibrated but now its dead on with my GPS.

This item does what it says it will. Is a lil expensive but alot cheaper than a speeding ticket. Wish it would allow changes in tenths of an inch instead of quarters.

So, 2014 Rams, the dealer can only program stock tire sizes. Puttin 35s or bigger on your Cummins? GET THIS NOW! Your truck will drive 100% better. My speedo is accurate within 0.5 MPH @ 75 MPH...amazing.

As the title says, the Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator does just what it says it does. It was extremely easy to install, and walks the user through each step. The quality seems to be very good, although the value/price seems steep considering that it only does one thing. OK, it also reads the DTC's but that's a necessary part of the function of changing the speedo calibration anyway. Appearance? 3-Stars because it's just another black box.

Very operator friendly, no problems at all. Double checked by GPS on my phone and the speedometer was right on the money. Cleared some codes as well, great product.

I did have to update the software via the internet upon receiving the unit, this only took a couple of minutes and went without any problems. Re-calibrating the speedometer worked as advertised however you will have to adjust for the static load on the tire, if you use the unloaded tire diameter your speedometer will be off. This is a good choice for those that do not want to chance voiding your warranty with "programmers". Read and cleared codes as advertised.

I added a lift kit and large 37" tires to my truck in 2011 and had no idea of the speed i was traveling or the fuel mileage. Quickly after hooking the Hypertech calibrator i was driving down the road at the correct speed!
