I have a 2008 Avalanche with a 5.3L V8 engine with Active Fuel Management. I was driving with the cruise on and noticed a clattering and banging under the truck until I accelerated just a touch and the clattering stopped. Turned out it was the AFM system. I bought the Range device. I plugged it in with no issues. I drive every day with the AFM disabled. The engine runs in V8 all the time with no noise. Replacing lifters is $3,000 and replacing the engine is $7,000. RANGE = $199. Nuff said.

The tuner was super easy and simple to install. It literally took minutes to install. Performance increase is very good with sharper shifts and higher torque The mileage increase is better by a few MPG, but I have a hard time keeping my foot out of the throttle. I would suggest it to anyone that want "bolt on" performance. This is the second superchips tuner I have purchased and these guys know how to do it up right. They will even offer tech help on the phone if needed.
