2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT 5.3 V8 - Ext. Cab Long Bed

Reviewed By Josh J (SPRING, TX) Reviewed for a 2011 Chevy Silverado —7/9/2015 6:42 AM

It did exactly what I expected. This is not a device that is going to completely transform your vehicle. I upgraded my tires to 33" x 12" wide. By doing this, my truck lost some power. I bought the Hypertech for 3 reasons. 1) Turn off AFM. 2) Re-calibrate my speedo. 3) Pick up power I lost due to larger tires. It did all 3 just as I had hoped. It runs slightly better than when I had stock tires, so I'm pretty happy about that. With realistic expectations, this product is a great value!

works great

I initially set the unit for 34" tires, the diameter of my Toyo ATIIs in 295 60r20, the speedometer was actually a couple mph over. After some downward-tweaking for tire inflation level, I setting the unit to correct for 32.75 inch tires got my speedometer accurate to within less than 0.5mph error compared to Garmin GPS. Keep in mind that actual tire diameter is dependent on how many psi you are running, so getting things right on the money may take some tweaking.
