Hypertech Max Energy Programmer Reviews

Big Difference

Reviewed By Lewis W (RIDGELAND, MS) Reviewed for a 2012 Chevy Tahoe —10/6/2016 6:46 AM

I have owned my 2012 Chevy Tahoe for approximately two years. During that time, I have almost been involved in a few accidents because of the throttle delay. My research showed that it was the AFM system that was causing it. The Hypertech programmer removed the AFM programming and my acceleration was immediately improved. O-60 time decreased from 11.5 to 8.99. Gas mileage increased slightly (3-5 mpg). I was preparing to sell the Tahoe, but now I am going to keep it.

It works like it should

It's works as advertised. Kind of expensive for what it does but , it's cheaper than having a shop do it wrong.

Hypertech Max Energy 2.0 Programmer Reviews

A Little Disappointed

Reviewed By Charles R (RICHARDSON, TX) Reviewed for a 2016 Chevy Colorado —2/14/2017 5:13 AM

Taking from some of the information I found on a few other reviews and articles, I was hoping the Max Energy 2.0 would resolve the "chuggle and hesitation" on my truck (a known problem that GM will not or can not fix). While it did help on the city driving issues, the highway speed hesitation is still a problem. The programmer is pretty easy to use if you read the instructions first and follow the on-screen instructions. I like the five program option. I currently have two loaded.
