4.7L Quadcab w/ 45RFE Tranny

Reviewed By John R (Maryland Heights, MO) Reviewed for a 2002 Dodge Dakota —5/1/2008 6:11 AM

Arrived on time and it was easy to install. Stage 1 with no modifications. Similar results to what others experienced with the same set up and power plant. Noticable difference in performance. Improved low end performance with less lag in throttle response. Better take off from complete stop. There is a definite improvement in the midrange power band when driving in heavy traffic. Approx 500 miles driven since instilation 70% in town. Fuel milage increased from 11.5 mpg city to 14.3 mpg city. Not enough milage driven on long trips to see it there will be an improvement over the previous 18 mpg on the highway. Purchased to improve fuel economy and towing. Would definitely recomend for similar vehicle set up.

Superchips Cortex Programmer Reviews

Excellent programmer!

Reviewed By Darren W (DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, FL) Reviewed for a 2003 Dodge Dakota —3/25/2015 6:23 AM

I had an older programmer from Superchips. It wasn't updatable. This gives me an average of 3-5 miles per gallon on the 87 octane setting. Not to mention the extra power and torque. Not a lot you can change though. You can use it to adjust tire size to calibrate your speedometer. It also had a log feature that can be used to do 0-70 and up to a quarter mile run. Seems to be pretty accurate too! Loving my Superchips! Thanks AutoAnything!!
