Different truck with regular gas program! 1997 Dakota 4x4 318 V8

Reviewed By David L (Tampa, FL) Reviewed for a 1997 Dodge Dakota —8/10/2009 10:53 PM

Improved shift points. Could keep converter locked up better. Greatly improved the low end torque band. Takes less throttle to maintain the same speed. On two tanks of regular, it appears that I have gained 2mpg in town. Before,11.25, after, 13.25. Before, Going up a particular ramp day after day, 70 mph at the end. After, 80 mph at the end. Pinging a bit during a level load. I am going to put a 180 stat in it. That should get rid of that issue. Your welcome David

Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator

Reviewed By Russell P (EL PASO, TX) Reviewed for a 2014 Toyota Tundra —4/15/2015 3:14 AM

Went from Stock to 35s. Really easy to put on, truck shifts smoother, speed is perfectly on with two GPS and I also had my wife drive her car next to me and tell me how fast she was going. I actually gained 1.5 MPG, don't know how or why but it did. Tucks right behind the dash and I left the usb in it so I could change it if need be without taking the dash apart again

Hypertech Max Energy E-CON Reviews

Pleased with the Hypertech ECON

Reviewed By Robert T (Vidor, TX) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford Expedition —8/29/2013 8:04 AM

I was very pleased with the E-CON. I installed it on my wife's 2011 Expedition. I wasn't concerned about the 40 extra horses, but bought it to improve my mileage. I checked the mileage on several trips without it and then with it. By the vehicles mileage indicator, at 70 mph on cruise, I got a 2 mph increase, from 20 to 22mpg. What surprise me was at 75, the mileage went from 18 to 21.5mpg. If you put the pencil to it, the E-CON will pay for itself within 10,000 highway miles.
