Hypertech Max Energy Programmer Reviews

Great Product

Reviewed By Jonathan P (Saint Paul, MN) Reviewed for a 2007 Dodge Nitro —8/16/2012 7:45 AM

I installed this is my 2007 dodge nitro with the 3.7L and it woke this a sleeping baby. I would have to say that this is the biggest gain for your buck. It also fixes to sloppy 1st-2nd shift. And for everyone out there that wants to mix it up with some bigger tires this will help you make the adjustments to do so. Install was quick and easy. I updated the tuner to my application and plugged it into the truck. After I Went through a series of questions I was good to go.

Hypertech Max Energy 2.0 Programmer Reviews

A Little Disappointed

Reviewed By Charles R (RICHARDSON, TX) Reviewed for a 2016 Chevy Colorado —2/14/2017 5:13 AM

Taking from some of the information I found on a few other reviews and articles, I was hoping the Max Energy 2.0 would resolve the "chuggle and hesitation" on my truck (a known problem that GM will not or can not fix). While it did help on the city driving issues, the highway speed hesitation is still a problem. The programmer is pretty easy to use if you read the instructions first and follow the on-screen instructions. I like the five program option. I currently have two loaded.

2015 Toyota Tundra 5.7L

Awesome product!!! Great step by step instructions. Had 0 problems with the installation, it took about 45 minutes from start to finish. I would recommend you measure your tire to get the exact size. I upgraded to a 22in wheel with 35s and programmed 35s first and it was still off 2 MPH. Once I measured and saw that it was really a 34, I programmed that in and it was perfect. Much smoother shifting too. I also noticed a 2mpg gain too!!! This is a must if you have a lift Tundra with 35s or larger
