"I purchased this unit for my 2008 Ram 1500, 5.7 Hemi. It is all stock with the exception of magnaflow mufflers and a K&N cold air intake. Being a MDS truck it wouldnt allow me to change the shift points and the rev limiter, due to the nature of the transmission. I guess it a safety feature in which I was o.k with. All in I am pleased with the performance upgrade ( slight) and 2-4 MPG better on gas. Its a bonus anyway you look at it and will pay for itself in the long run." —John S from Agoura Hills, CA bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 5.7L Hemi.
"plugged it in and away i went, it greatly improved my 0-60 before it was around 9 to 10 seconds now its at 7.81 exact" —Sandy S from Dickinson, ND bought a Superchips Flashpaq Tuner for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 5.7L Hemi.
"I determined that the Cortex programmer would match my driving/towing requirements on a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi pickup. Shifting is smooth and crisp, power is good and matches the K&N CAI system perfectly. MPG improved .3 MPG." —Roger S from Harrison Township, MI bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 5.7L Hemi.
"I'm getting better milage now even though I put 35's on my truck at the same time. The performance seems about the same but that is probably due to getting larger tires also." —Michael L from Copperas Cove, TX bought a Superchips Flashpaq Tuner for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 5.7L Hemi.
"I am very happy with the programer. I bought it mainly for the gas mileage increase, but i'm not going to complain about the added power. I'm running the programer in combination with a AEM brutforce cold air intake and a 3 inch catback exaust system with a flowmaster 50 series delta flow muffler. I average 15 to 16 MPG. Just crusing down the highway at 65mph i get 20-23 MPG. Now i think thats pretty good for a truck. OH thats on the preium fuel setting. I never tried the regular setting. Over all i am very happy with the combination. It drives like a whole different truck than stock. Alot more power and acceleration, throttle responce, and better fuel millage." —Jacob P from Burlington, IA bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 1500, 5.7L Hemi.
"Absolutely awesome product! Not quite all the programs that I wish it had, but it is still an amazing product! Worth the money and it will pay itself off in time with the gas money that I am saving!" —James B from Hutchinson, KS bought a Bully Dog Triple Dog GT Tuner (49-State Legal) for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 5.7L V8.
"Performance was great, disappointed in the mileage setting, actually dropped the milage substantially, went back to the performance setting which also increased the milage. Looking forward to spend some time in the custom settings as far as shift points go." —Brad J from Martinsville, TX bought a Superchips Flashpaq Tuner for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 5.7L Hemi.
"Lots of stuff to play with, Data logging is awsome. def makes a diffrence in driving. Tranny shifts harder and at the right time now. No more trans lag when you floor it." —Jake K from Little Ferry, NJ bought a Superchips Flashpaq Tuner for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 5.7L Hemi.
"I wanted better gas mileage and power and thats what the Cortex programmer did." —Chaz B from West Wendover, NV bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 5.7L Hemi.
"I own a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, and yes it's got a Hemi! I recently purchased the Cortex SuperChips programmer. Installation was very very very simple. I was done in about 10 minutes, and since I downloaded a new program on to the computer via the superchips website. I noticed the power increase instantly! I would also recommend a cold air intake for this vehicle, the combo is great! I would absolutely say this was a great purchase. Also, the folks at Superchips were very responsive to my questions, they understand what customer service means!" —Chad B from Cypress, TX bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2008 Dodge Ram, 5.7L Hemi.
"Dodge seems to be worse than GM at building their vehicle with lazy trans patterns and fat fuel curves. This product is great for being able to tune the vehicle in a couple fashions: 1.) for 87 Octane, 2.) for Performance using 91-93 Octane (favorite) 3.) Maximizing Fuel use.
So far I can only comment on the Performance tune since I've been happy with it as is and don't have a desire to test the 87 Fuel or Max Economy modes yet. Fuel mileage over 900 miles now has slightly improved due to better fuel mapping management. Performance is MUCH MUCH better. Trans shift firm and properly, accelerates faster. AND off-idle response of the throttle is more normal. (Factory the response was exceptionally lazy and you tended to step harder on the gas to get moving and then a burn-out would essentially happen)
So far It's been a great product to use." —Kristopher P from Chicago, IL bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2008 Dodge Ram.
