"This has been one of the best upgrades to the truck so far. This programer has taken care of all the issues I was having with the transmission shifting and throttle response. There is a modest HP and MPG gain but the improved drive ability has made this item well worth the investment. I'm very pleased with the results, it has done exactly what I was looking to achieve and highly recommend this product." —David C from Snohomish, WA bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2010 Ford F-150, 4.6L V8, 2-valve.
"I got my programmer and plugged it in to download. It took a little longer to download than I thought it would take and was kinda like a close encounter thing with all the warning bells and lights coming on. It was successful and it did improve the performance of the 5.4L engine. I still need to go back in and use the options to fine tune for my truck." —Ron L from Los Lunas, NM bought a SCT SF3 Power Flash Programmer (49-State Legal) for a 2010 Ford F-150, 5.4L V8.
"The Cortex really woke my truck up! Used to be sluggish out of the hole, but not anymore. I've only run the 87 octane tune thus far, and I'm really happy with the results and fuel economy hasn't decreased any over stock settings. I also find that the truck doesn't downshift as much during gradual acceleration like it used to. I would recommend this product to a friend." —Jacob D from Houma, LA bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2010 Ford F-150, 5.4L V8.
"Really glad I bought this unit. From a bone stock 4.6 F150 I can really feel the acceleration. It also adjusted my shift points so each gear change is nice a quick which makes it feel like a different truck. Also the gas pedal delay is gone, quick response now. Fuel mileage actually dropped though from 17 average to 16 but its possible I just have my foot in it until the thrill wares off. If you are looking for a quick easy way to wake up your F150, this is the easiest way to do it." —Thomas G from Houston, TX bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2010 Ford F-150, 4.6L V8, 2-valve.
"I love the programmer. Very easy to install. The effects on my truck surpassed my expectations." —Cody M from Shreveport, LA bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2010 Ford F-150, 4.6L V8.
"If you are looking for something to wake up your sleepy 2010 F150 engine then look no further. The Hypertech gets you through the gears faster and cures the sloppy shifting problems that come stock in 2010 F150. I have really enjoyed it so far (4 weeks). Installation failed the first time i tried, and i saw 2 DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) show up. I looked into the codes and they were nothing. The codes are gone now. The only thing i am leery about is re setting the configuration to stock to get it serviced. They say in the manual that the diagnostics are not recognizable to a mechanic when the truck is tuned. You must un tune to stock for servicing. No biggie, just press a couple buttons. Overall i am pleased, and oh yea 1-2 mpg berrer so far, running 87 octane." —Ryan D from Cool, CA bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2010 Ford F-150, 5.4L V8.
"This is my second Hypertech Max Energy purchase and installation (the prior unit was for a 1999 F350 7.3L diesel). In both instances, programming was quick and easy, and the results were positive.
This form of programmer is not for those pursuing highly-customized, all-out performance improvement. It is, however, a very simple way to improve the drivability and power of a stock or lightly-modified vehicle.
With less than 15 minutes of "work" to install - the 5.4L in the F150 now runs noticeably smoother, with improved throttle response and significantly improved punch at the top end. I also tightened up the shift firmness and elevated the shift point RPM (slightly) without adding harshness or other negative distractions.
All good." —Karl S from Cary, NC bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2010 Ford F-150.
"The Superchips Flashpaq is the most performance I have got for the price. It TOTALLY changed the driving of my truck. More power and it stopped the 6 speed automatic from searching for a gear when going up hills with the cruise on. Drive-ability is now what I expected when I purchased my 2010 F-150 5.4. I can not say enough about the improvement." —John S from Martinsville, IN bought a Superchips Flashpaq Tuner for a 2010 Ford F-150, 5.4L V8.
"I am a change the oil and a tire kind of guy. Not technically inclined nor ignorant but wouldnt swap out an engine. This program was super easy to install and called Hypertech for recommendations on settings for my vehicle based on my usage and driving style. I was not familiar with what the settings would do to my truck ie. tighten the shifting and provide more power, but wow. Truely amazing. When I step on the gas it simply goes and I mean now. I have seen a unbelievable increase in power but a slight drop in mileage. That could be attributed to my settings and tweeking my higher gears to provide me a better highway rpm, I guess. Even losing a mile or two per gallon this was definitely worth the money!" —Douglas W from Dixon, IL bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2010 Ford F-150, 5.4L V8.
"Just what the truck needed, firmer shifts, no hesitation off the line, +1 mpg, and a speedo that's right on with 34" tires." —Brad N from Gilbert, AZ bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2010 Ford F-150, 5.4L V8.
"This programmer is easy to use and seems to increase power and gas mileage. My estimate is 1.5-2 mpg more and I could feel and hear a difference in performance. I would recommend this to anyone trying to squeeze more mpg's out of their vehicle." —David O from Dickson, TN bought a Hypertech Max Energy E-CON for a 2010 Ford F-150, 5.4L V8.
