"The programmer was very easy to install. Its not the first time that I used one of these programmers either. Thats why I bought one of my own because of how much more horsepower you recieve and how much fun it is to run it in the truck. If anyone is looking for easy way to boost power in your powerstroke diesel this is the way." —Michael W from Louisville, OH bought an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 1997 Ford F-250, 7.3L Power Stroke.
'97 XL editon 7.3L turbocharged Powerstroke, 2wd, 5spd manual transmission.
The edge evolution programmer was a cinch to install. I shopped around for the best price value, and autoanything gave me more for my buck. After installing the programmer I fired up my truck, and I could immediately tell the difference. It took the rough idle out, gave me an extra boost in power yet also added an aditional 2mpg, all set on the tow function. I havn't tried any of the other features of this product, but I am very satisfied. Thanks autoanything!" —Ernest R from Springtown, TX bought an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 1997 Ford F-250.
"I got the Edge programmer to set my truck up for towing a 5th wheel RV. It was simple to program and the truck had more pulling power right out of the gate." —Eric O from Goldendale, WA bought an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 1997 Ford F-250, 7.3L Power Stroke.
"over all big change lots of power. but what they dont tell you is that you cant change back and forth the settings .it cofuses the trucks computer and locks both up and you are stranded for five days.now this is only on the older trucks up to iwas told 2000s.then they changed the brains and the trucks computer functions much better. if i would have known this i would have just gone with a single 1 set plug in chip. scared to take the programer to a different setting now and have it lock up again. 1997 f-250 7.3 diesel" —Cory B from Anderson, CA bought an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 1997 Ford F-250, 7.3L Power Stroke.
"this programmer does what they say it will do.I am very happy with it and my 7.3 diesel." —Michael Y from Ringwood, OK bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 1997 Ford F-250, 7.3L Powerstroke.

"Overall I am very satisfied with the CTS Evolution Programmer. Install was very simple (even the EGT probe was very simple), however on my older 97 ford the data port is located on the passenger side just below the glove box, and there was not enough cable to reach so I had to move the data port over about two inches. I was also advised that I would have five power settings from someone at Auto Anything, but I only have three (four if you count the stock setting). I will not complain too much about the power settings, because the ones that are their makes my 7.3 diesel come to life. I pull a 31ft Travel Trailer, and it handles mountains with ease with the programmer set to tow. The touch screen is awesome, and I like that you can download any picture to put on the screen. If I had to do a rating from 1-10, I would give the Edge CTS a 9. I also like it because you have a lot of gauges in one unit instead of pods of gauges everywhere in the truck, and you would spend way more if you purchased each gauge the CTS has to offer." —Charles S from Luray, VA bought an Edge CTS Evolution Programmer for a 1997 Ford F-250.
"After trying all three stages found that for good fuel economy and plenty of power stage one was great. Stage 2 is even better for pulling heavy loads with out loosing speed, fuel economy is ok. Stage 3 the amount of power it puts out is almost scary would recommend if you are wanting to use this to upgrade your tranny to a performance tranny to get even better results. The truck I have is a 97' f-250 extende cab powerstroke w/e40d tranny." —David B from Felicity, OH bought an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 1997 Ford F-250, 7.3L Power Stroke.
