Jet Performance Programmer

I was interested in mainly the engine tuning capability with this tuner. I installed a Gibson cat-back exhaust and a K&N replacement filter element on my 97 ranger 4.0. The 87 octane tune added the extra fuel to make those changes to the truck run well as the stock ecm settings were a little lean. Definitely worth the money. Jet could improve the quality of the box as the buttons are somewhat difficult to press.

Along with AirRaid Cold Air Intake and Cat Back exhaust my 2008 Ranger has turned into a beast. The Predator comes with few instructions but is straightforward to use. It has 3 performance tunes for Ranger for 3 octane levels. I flashed Ranger with 87 octane and I noticed the gains above just the CAI and Exhaust mod. Quite pleased!

Pleased with the Hypertech ECON

I was very pleased with the E-CON. I installed it on my wife's 2011 Expedition. I wasn't concerned about the 40 extra horses, but bought it to improve my mileage. I checked the mileage on several trips without it and then with it. By the vehicles mileage indicator, at 70 mph on cruise, I got a 2 mph increase, from 20 to 22mpg. What surprise me was at 75, the mileage went from 18 to 21.5mpg. If you put the pencil to it, the E-CON will pay for itself within 10,000 highway miles.
