DiabloSport In Tune I-1000 Tuner

Reviewed By Keith C (Waldorf, MD) Reviewed for a 2002 Ford Ranger —7/6/2015 5:11 PM

I mainly made this purchase to store Custom Tunes for my CTS-V in the near future. Currently I installed the "Diablo Tune" which is the 93 octane tune. I've noticed a little better performance, but without having numbers from a Dyno it's really hard to tell. I will say I like it better then the old Predator. The I-1000 is an easy to handle (smaller) tuner and it's User Friendly.

Lots of options

Reviewed By Kenneth F (HENDERSON, KY) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford Ranger —4/15/2015 4:25 PM

Really a nice device. I am amazed at all you can monitor with it. My main reason for purchase was to monitor the transmission temps when towing my 17 ft travel trailer. But I'm also monitoring fuel mileage and throttle position. I only gave 4 stars because the included velcro for mounting allows for too much vibration. Replaced it with a 3M Command strip refill.

GMC 6.2 L 8SP be forewarned

Reviewed By sky b (FAIRFIELD, CA) Reviewed for a 2015 GMC Sierra —8/21/2015 8:39 AM

Overall great but doesn't work with the 8 spd trans. 2015 1500 Denali 6.2L. the workaround is to choose manual transmission in programming, but obviously you aren't getting any shift point adjustments or anything. Another note is that I have a lift and 35" tires, but the speed calibration had to be set to 33 to be accurate. "Luckily," we have the radar signs in our neighborhood, so I could take a few tries and get it dialed in, otherwise speedo would have read fast, not slow.
