Range Active Fuel Management Disable Device Reviews

Range AFM Disabler - Wish I had purchased this earlier

This is a great little device. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. My 2008 5.3L Sierra 4x4 has been using about 1qt of oil every 1000 miles since about 45,000 miles. The truck now has about 73,000 miles. I've been adding Rislone engine treatment with each oil change ever since discovering the oil issue to help prevent the control rings from sticking due to the oil burnoff. Well, I can tell you that I've driven about 600 miles since plugging in the Range device and have not lost one drop of oil yet. And as an added bonus, I find the transmission downshifts a whole lot smoother. There is also no more V-4 to V-8 power lag(instant power) and the fuel mileage has not really changed. The driving experience has been greatly improved in my opinion, feel like I have a new truck again. I'm waiting for summer blend gas to hit the stations to see what kind of mileage I'll get.

Hypertech Max Energy Programmer Reviews

Hyper Fast.

Reviewed By Jeffrey F (Schenectady, NY) Reviewed for a 2008 GMC Sierra —8/28/2014 12:54 PM

Fast shipping. Excellent value. Only issue I had was having to update the programmer new out of the box? Otherwise easy install. Using the econ setting so I don't necessarily feel a performance gain but hoping for better fuel mileage. Only programmer I use is Hypertech.

Can really tell a difference. Only down side is that the screen is a lot smaller than what I thought so it's somewhat hard to read going down the road.
