ScanGauge OBD II Scanner Reviews

ScanGauge II great product!

Reviewed By Eric B (Rexburg, ID) Reviewed for a 2003 Honda Accord —5/18/2011 8:21 AM

Completely worth it! Only thing I had to worry about was contacting ScanGauge support directly, because my radio and clock were wired thru the OBDII port on my 98 Silverado. With the original cable, it would randomly reset the clock and radio whenever I would start the vehicle. After contacting ScanGauge support, about a week later they sent me a modified cable for my type of vehicle and no problem since. In terms of increasing MPG, I haven't seen a huge increase with it, but it certainly helps keep track of things. The peace of mind that comes from seeing how things are running, so you can find a problem before it starts becoming an issue, is enormous. My vehicle had charging problems last summer, and since then I haven't really trusted my charging system after fixing it, and this way I can see exactly what it is doing. I would recommend this for any vehicle with an OBDII port!

Edge Insight CS/CTS Monitors Reviews

Reviewed By mark W (Everett, WA) Reviewed for a 2015 Chevy Silverado —7/29/2015 2:54 AM

I bought the EDGE INSIGHT so I could read what my truck already knows. Install was a snap into my 2015 Silverado 3500 duramax and now I can view my EGT without drilling so I know when it's safe to shut down when I'm towing. Pre turbo EGT isn't available but I'm able to use my non-towing EGTs as target temps.

Edge Insight CTS2 Monitor Reviews

Nice, but not perfect.

Reviewed By Jeff S (LONGMONT, CO) Reviewed for a 2008 Dodge Ram —7/9/2015 8:56 PM

My main concern is monitoring my truck while pulling up to 14k lbs. I like to monitor engine coolant, transmission fluid and the regen system. I bought mine to replace an MSD Dashhawk. The DH has a small display but a large number of variables that could be displayed. I would display 4 variables at one time, at most. By comparison, the Insight CTS2 can easily display up to 9 variables at a time. Unfortunately, it is limited in the available variables by comparison, regen specifically.
