Hypertech Max Energy Programmer Reviews

Could do more

Reviewed By James F (Port Angeles, WA) Reviewed for a 1997 Jeep Wrangler —1/29/2012 12:38 AM

I added the Hypertech with other performance items so it's hard to tell exactly how much it helped but it has increased HP and throttle response. I can only change the rpm limiter and top speed, I really would like to adjust the speedometer for tire size and gear changes. I understand why I can't, just wish I could. Performance was my main goal so I'm happy with it.

Jet Performance Module Reviews

Reviewed By Jeffrey O (Knoxville, TN) Reviewed for a 1997 Jeep Wrangler —9/23/2008 4:59 AM

Had already installed Airaid throttle body spacer, free flow air intake, Acel Super Coil and 8mm plug wires along with Bosch Platium Plus4 plugs which had improved preformance and gas mileage in my 97 Jeep Wrangler SE with a underpowerd, overworked 2.5 4 cylinder. In less than 15 minutes that it took to install the JetPreformance Module #90017, which is the basic chip, I could tell when I turned the switch we had hit paydirt, fired instantly, ran smoother. TEST DRIVE Got in, put it in reverse and it backed itself out of the drive, put it in drive and could tell with the first gear shift, mission accomplished. Now the Jeep drives with less effort, shifts with less strain, accellerates quicker and gets about 2 mpg better milage over what the prior upgrades had accomplished. I almost wished now that I had stepped up to the stage II chip and some where down the road may do that.

SCT X4 Power Flash Programmer (49-State Legal) Reviews

Reviewed By David B (Tipp City, OH) Reviewed for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler —3/9/2015 8:49 PM

Software did not seem to load properly...after contacting SCT, found that the instructions to update the firmware were wrong. Loaded fine after a long online update. JK runs fine on 87 octane program, a noticeable improvement in midrange power...some on the top end. Too early to tell if any fuel mileage improvement.
