Banks Powerpack 99 TJ 4.0

Reviewed By John P (Silverthorne, CO) Reviewed for a 1999 Jeep Wrangler —10/28/2009 12:55 PM

It definitely takes some time to get the headers on what with having to remove the intake manifold, fuel rail, etc. but the end result is well worth the effort. My jeep has 33s and a 4 inch lift, and it feels like a sports car now in comparison to the way it used to be. Much more torque and throttle response, and much more powerful overall. I am also noticing a substantial fuel efficiency increase and added about 45 miles to my average tank of gas overall. It also ends up with a very "meaty" yet still uniquely jeep sound. I would recommend the Banks Powerpack system to anyone with a Jeep as I can't speak highly enough about it.

Improved the pickup greatly

Reviewed By Wendy O (SETAUKET, NY) Reviewed for a 2014 Jeep Wrangler —9/9/2015 7:34 PM

Previous vehicle was a 2007 Nissan Altima with 3.5 liter engine 6 speed with 275 hp. Car had awesome pickup and I drive like Daisy Duke. Could beat many sports cars of the line and distance. Love everything about the Jeep except the truck had no pickup. My husband searched around internet and found this company. Installation was quick and easy. Made huge difference. Don't have to downshift to first to take off in traffic or pass. Well worth the money.

Makes a huge difference

Reviewed By Jacob C (Ramona, CA) Reviewed for a 1983 Ford F-250 —6/9/2016 10:23 AM

My 83 F250 is way more responsive. I could barely keep up with traffic going up steep grades at highway speed. Now I can pass cars on the same grade. The instructions aren't great and some parts didn't fit right. I had to grind about an inch off the inlet flange foot to get it to fit. Overall a fun project and performs great.
